Manolis Kottakis on BNtv: Widespread wiretapping and institutional collapse –
In any other country, the world would have ended, yet here they are flying kites! Manolis Kottakis, Director of the newspaper "ESTIA," speaks to BankingNews.gr regarding political developments, the wiretapping scandals, and the OPEKEPE scandal, as well as the upcoming visit of Donald Trump to Greece.

Guest on the show MAGGA on BNtv web television, Mr. Kottakis answers questions from Angie Stathatou about the surveillance and the "National Security issue" that arises: "Even judges, television stations, and newspapers were under surveillance. In any other country, the world would have ended, and here, politicians are flying kites," he says. As for the OPEKEPE case? Laura Kovesi's case files have increased from 9 to 40!

The ND bleachers are emptying and the Parliamentary Group is "boiling" – The Dimitriadis vacuum: No one else can kick down Mitsotakis's door and tell him "you are wrong"!

While the ND Parliamentary Group is in session, Manolis Kottakis comments that the "ND bleachers" are emptying and MPs are "boiling." The absence of Dimitriadis clearly plays a role in this situation, as the journalist notes, "he was the only one who could kick down the door of Mitsotakis's office and even use 'French' to tell him he is making a mistake." He refers to the Rama–Dimitriadis meeting and the government's proposals for constitutional revision, emphasizing that the provinces need greater representation in Parliament. At the same time, he considers the absence of former Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis from the party's Congress a "service to ND": "Karamanlis does not act behind the scenes; others are protagonists in party-kitchen games," he says meaningfully. As for the 2027 elections? Manolis Kottakis foresees a coalition government, as the lack of a self-reliant majority will lead to rallies and polarization.

Donald Trump's visit: Will he also visit Mount Athos? - Shock plan for US arbitration in Greek-Turkish affairs

The Director of ESTIA comments extensively on the upcoming visit of the US President, Donald Trump, to Greece, who is very likely to visit Mount Athos. However, the scenario that "a US arbitration plan for Greek-Turkish disputes is being prepared" causes concern. What will be the risks while the Turks want to be co-owners of the Aegean? In this context, Mr. Kottakis argues that "Antonis Samaras did not exaggerate; all he said is that you do not engage in dialogue with a pirate." Watch the full new episode of MAGGA on BNtv here:
