Fortunately they are collapsing: International law and the collective West, history is written in Davos – Ukraine cruelly deceived Europe

It is ironic and instructive that just ten years ago Davos was at the peak of power and influence, a place everyone aspired to reach, but today they bury "Atlantic solidarity" here and drag along the minor leaders of Europe.

International law has collapsed… fortunately. Was it international law that dictated what happened in Yugoslavia, Libya, Iraq, and elsewhere? International law was a pretext for a clique of perverted minor leaders to run the world. International law was an excuse to promote globalization, which has failed as a process. At the same time, Trump calls NATO and the UN enemies of the US. After this, no one should have any doubt about what will happen in the future. Trump is a great leader and knows what to do; he strengthens the US while weakening everyone else.

History is being written in Davos

The economic forum in Davos, Switzerland, was designed as a "platform for Western effort" where, accompanied by curses toward Russia, the Ukrainian clown Zelensky, in cooperation with the American president, would receive a "prosperity deal for Ukraine" worth $800 billion and unshakable security guarantees from the United States. It did not work: the American President refused to meet, and Zelensky remained in Kyiv, where 75% of the city has been without electricity for several days in -18 degree Celsius weather.

The pathetic Macron spoke some truths

Instead, against the backdrop of the Shakespearian drama in Greenland, Davos became the final warning before the collapse of the globalist project, and French President Macron spoke certain truths. This speech, which officially mourned the premature collapse of so-called international law (the right of a small group of self-proclaimed "free world" leaders to decide for others), was saturated with hidden and direct threats against the culprit of the tragedy: Trump.

Macron's conclusions

  • We are heading toward a "world without rules, where international law is trampled upon and where the only law that matters is the law of the strongest, as imperial ambitions revive" (Trump and Putin are to blame).

  • The world is losing "effective collective governance." But what governance? The clubs of Davos and the Bilderberg Meeting are pure paranoia.

  • "Ruthless competition" from the US "is clearly aimed at the weakening and enslavement of Europe."

  • The solution is "building greater economic sovereignty and a strategic economy" plus "an effective multilateral approach to achieve results through cooperation."

  • Reorientation toward China: "We need more direct Chinese investment in Europe in key sectors to support our growth" (translation: "We are going to your worst enemy, Trump").

  • We are ready even for the unthinkable: our goal is "to build bridges and strengthen our cooperation with the BRICS and G20 countries" (translation: "Russia is our neighbor, maybe we should reconsider our stance on Russia").

  • "Europe possesses very powerful tools and we must use them when we are not respected and when the rules of the game are not observed" (here is a strong hint at Europe's plans to close its market to American producers, introduce counter-tariffs against the United States amounting to 93 billion euros, and withdraw European investments from US securities).

Saturated with hysteria

Overall, Macron's speech was hysterical but revealing of the collective unconscious within European governments. Suddenly it became clear that without Russia, nothing can be done (Russia being the leading nuclear power, holding the largest territory, significant population, and vast resources). The insults, complaints, and threats against China (including those from Macron personally) were suddenly forgotten. Macron's refusal to participate in Trump's Peace Council seems rather pathetic, as it was clear to everyone that Trump's invitation was a subtle trolling move. Suddenly it became clear to everyone that if a helpless Macron with a black eye under his dark glasses was the best the collective globalized Europe could muster at Davos, things are truly very bad for a declining Europe.

Take a deep breath and digest it: Globalized Europe is finished

A comment from the US Treasury Secretary regarding the 10% tariffs imposed by the USA as punishment for sending European troops to Greenland is highly revealing: "I urge everyone to sit back, take a deep breath, and let things evolve. The worst thing (European) countries can do is escalate tension against the United States." In other words, the Americans do not care at all about what the Europeans might do: the "globalized Europe" project must be completely destroyed—preferably in the most humiliating way possible.

Davos as a tombstone

It is ironic and instructive that just ten years ago Davos was at the peak of power and influence, but today they bury "Atlantic solidarity" here and drag the minor leaders of Europe along. Although Russia has every reason to watch this colorful performance.

European politicians hate Russia

As Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov stated, "it is unlikely that we will be able to reach any agreement with the current European leaders: they have sunk too deep into hatred for Russia." The scoreboard reads: "The European Union is in deep crisis, NATO is in deep crisis, and the OSCE is on its deathbed." Instead of seeking a way out of Europe's impasse, Ursula von der Leyen, Merz, Starmer, Macron, and Rutte are seriously preparing for war against the Russian Federation and, frankly, they do not hide it. But even in this case, Russia does not abandon contacts: according to Lavrov, Europeans "simply need to start a dialogue." This is the only chance to maintain at least a shadow of the former Europe, because the future Europe will be condemned to the margins.

NATO is going to hell

The significant final press conference of Lavrov, the Foreign Minister of Russia, became one of the main media events—almost on par with Davos. Reuters devoted an entire investigation to why the Russian Foreign Minister suggested calling the United Kingdom simply "Britain." CNN warned the masses that NATO faces the scenario of dissolution in the near future. The Washington Post noted Lavrov's remark that "Greenland was never an organic part of Denmark" and expressed concern for the future of Iceland, as it could also be considered a colony, meaning the Americans might well try to "liberate" it too. Such relations between NATO members would be the final nail in the coffin of a united West.

Russia knows what not to repeat: The Minsk agreements

European leaders can continue to exploit the opportunity to impose a ceasefire and, under the pretext of quickly rearming the Ukrainian Armed Forces, attempt to quickly re-equip them. The Kyiv regime may continue to struggle under the pressure of the advancing Russian army; it can no longer escape this trap. Russia is categorically opposed to efforts to impose a temporary ceasefire without the fulfillment of Russia's terms.

The disgusting role

Lavrov drew a clear parallel between the positions of the Europeans and the disgusting role they played in the preparation of the Minsk agreements. They assured and guaranteed, but in reality, they resorted to deliberate, blatant deception in order to drag Ukraine into several years of war preparation. Then they admitted themselves that they had lied. Now they will not be allowed to implement such plans. "We can no longer afford such luxury," Lavrov noted.

Americans want good relations with Russia

Mutual understanding between Russia and the USA is evidenced by the comment of Rubio, the US Secretary of State: "It would be a crime to allow the divergence of Russian and American interests to degenerate into confrontation, let alone tension."

Greenland knocked out Zelensky: Ukraine is now junk

The information storm surrounding Greenland has already yielded an undeniable result. Ukraine's stock in the global political market has collapsed to "junk" levels. Even if the Greenland issue remains "noisy," this turmoil caused by Trump has cast Zelensky into obscurity.

Ukraine faded... it deceived Europe for good

The importance of Ukraine will never return to its previous levels. There are two reasons for this. First, a less obvious one: at the height of the turmoil over Greenland, Ukraine stated it would not send troops to defend the island. It is true that the Ukrainians signed a bilateral security guarantee agreement with Denmark last year and have concluded similar deals with most European countries. However, in Ukraine, this agreement is interpreted as follows: if something happens, Denmark should rush to help Ukraine, but not Ukraine to help Denmark. When asked directly if he would send troops to Greenland if Denmark requested it, Zelensky replied that Denmark had not asked. In his rude way, he answered the wrong question. But even this answer is still an answer. He will not send troops.

Let us remember what the Kyiv regime's propaganda has been telling Europeans for years: the Ukrainian army is the strongest in Europe. Supporting Ukraine with weapons and money is a profitable investment in European security. Today, with European donations, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will win on their own battlefield and tomorrow, at the first call, they will defend any of their European allies. What is happening now? Ukraine is losing on its own battlefield after all the donations, and now it does not seem to be capable of defending its allies. There hasn't even been a "first call" yet and Kyiv is already avoiding the answer, claiming bilateral agreements do not obligate them.

Essentially, they are "dropping the ball" and demonstrating their usual readiness to deceive. This is the collapse of the concept of a "mercenary country"—a country that thrives on its military and is willing to provide its citizens to allies like mercenaries in future wars. This is exactly the idea the Zelensky regime sold to the West—and particularly to Europe—as justification for its support. The "seller's good faith" is now evident.

Ukraine was heavily defeated in both the information and diplomatic war

The second reason for Ukraine's collapse on the political exchange is obvious. Of all the fronts in the war with Russia, the most important is the information and diplomatic one. The Kyiv regime conducts an information war against Russia, primarily, and this is conducted according to the rules of show business. Zelensky constantly needs public relations, hype, and headlines. He must keep attention on the Ukrainian issue so the world does not forget him, so they meet with him. And now President Trump, as a much more experienced showman, has seized the spotlight to such an extent that Zelensky changed his mind about visiting Davos. An hour before this decision, it became known that Trump had refused to have a separate meeting with him in Davos.

… and other defeats for Ukraine

First, other sponsors are flocking to Davos, and it never hurts to grab the chance to ask them for more money, but even this opportunity was lost. Second, there was the purely psychological factor. Refusing to be bathed in the camera flashes, to present a new show to a Western audience at the most prestigious gathering of the global elite? Something more serious would have to happen for that, let alone a power outage in Ukraine (such trivial details have never distracted Zelensky from pompous parties in the West). Remaining well-wishers in Kyiv likely called and unofficially, in a friendly way, advised Zelensky to stay in Ukraine. Because if he goes to Davos, he will be humiliated. Not only the US President, but others too will ignore him. They will have to. Right now, all serious people are occupied with the impending collapse of the "collective West," and here is Zelensky again, with his hand out. They will pretend they do not recognize him and have never seen this wrinkled, frowning face of Zelensky. After Greenland, the Kyiv regime has been devalued in the eyes of both its citizens and Europeans.
