Developments on the Ukrainian issue are rapid, as the War Party in Europe and the United States, investing in the strategy of escalation with Russia, is achieving, as everything indicates, the removal of Steve Witkoff, special envoy of Donald Trump, and his replacement by Jared Kushner, the American president’s son-in-law.
As BN wrote in its prophetic report, the dismissal of Witkoff due to the Bloomberg leak about alleged guidance from the Kremlin to gain Trump’s favor and supposedly promote a pro-Russian solution to the Ukrainian crisis is the work of intelligence services.
A leading role in this terrifying sabotage is held by the British intelligence service MI6, but as is now revealed, it was not acting alone.
On the same day the much-discussed Bloomberg report about alleged conversations between Steve Witkoff and senior Kremlin advisers was published, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service had already warned that certain British circles were attempting to undermine Donald Trump’s peace initiatives by defaming him and his associates.
CIA involvement, the executive arm of the Deep State
However, as the son of the American president, Donald Trump Junior, implied, the CIA, the executive arm of the Deep State in the United States, also appears to be playing a role in this affair.
According to the British newspaper Guardian, the leak came from someone within the American intelligence services.
“Many officials in the American intelligence agencies are dissatisfied with the Trump administration’s policy on Ukraine and Russia.
Although such a leak would be extremely dangerous for the employee who leaked it, the frustration over Trump’s policies and the perceived willingness to engage with the Kremlin could have been a reason for such a move,” the British newspaper writes.
It is noteworthy that Bloomberg acquired audio files of the conversation rather than a simple transcript or reference, something that suggests the source was either directly involved in intelligence-gathering or had access to the original material.
The Russian newspaper Kommersant, through its top Kremlin correspondent who interviewed Ushakov, titled its report with the characteristic phrase, “Who set up Steve Witkoff?”, highlighting the sense that the leak was not accidental but part of a broader information game aimed at undermining the credibility of Russian officials and creating pressure on bilateral relations with the United States.
MI6 plays a leading role, the War Party is going all-in
A former intelligence official stated that it is possible the leak came from a European intelligence service that is disappointed with the “pro-Russian stance of Witkoff and wants to publicize his cooperation with the Kremlin”, reports the Guardian, hinting at MI6.
Many analysts also attribute a role in this frightening conspiracy of spies to the Ukrainians, who have shown impressive achievements in military innovation.
“Kyiv may have had a motive to leak the conversations, as it is extremely anxious about Witkoff’s role in the negotiations and would want to undermine his position, while at the same time revealing the extent of the cooperation between the Kremlin and the White House.
However, the risk of a catastrophic rupture with the Americans if it were revealed that the leak came from Ukrainian services could have prevented the Ukrainian government from such an action,” the British newspaper notes.

Trump Junior’s outburst: The idiots from the Deep State want the war in Ukraine to continue
The son of the American president, Donald Trump Junior, publicly expressed his support for Witkoff.
Through a post on the social network X, Trump Junior argued that the critics of Witkoff aim at the continuation of the military conflict in Ukraine.
As he stated: “It seems that these media outlets and the idiots from the deep state have never conducted successful negotiations in the real world.
It is clear that almost all of Witkoff’s critics want any peace agreement with Ukraine to fail so that they can continue this war indefinitely.
Enough!”

Putin’s intervention on the Witkoff matter
The Russian president Vladimir Putin commented humorously on the reports about the leak of conversations regarding the Ukrainian issue.
According to him, the leaks may be “some kind of fake news” or “truly intercepted conversations”.
The Russian president emphasized that in Russia, “wiretapping is forbidden”.
“Then maybe some of them, as our children joke, were ordered to spy and are wiretapping.
Let them do their job,” the president joked when answering questions about the leaked telephone conversations concerning the settlement of the crisis in Ukraine.
“But you must also know how to spy,” added the head of state.
Regarding the dismissal of Witkoff, Vladimir Putin defended the American envoy, stating that the accusations of excessive favor toward Russia by Steve Witkoff are baseless.
His friendship with Trump goes back many years, he pointed out.
He is an American citizen and defends the interests of his country, the Russian president stressed.

Zakharova: Europe wants to derail the diplomatic process
The European Union countries want to sabotage the emerging political and diplomatic process in Ukraine, said the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova.
“The real goal of the European Union countries is to disrupt the emerging political and diplomatic approaches, processes and so on,” Zakharova noted.
The suspicious Bloomberg report
The story concerns two intercepted telephone conversations: the first between Witkoff and the senior Kremlin adviser Yuri Ushakov, and the second between Ushakov and Kirill Dmitriev, who had significant involvement in the negotiations with the White House during Trump’s term.
The headline of the Bloomberg article was published without signature or date, likely to avoid hints that could reveal the identity of the source.
According to Bloomberg, the publication was based on “review and transcription of audio files” of the two conversations, without however mentioning the sources or the measures taken to confirm the authenticity of the recordings.
The exact origin of the leak remains unclear.
However, what emerges from the content of the conversations and from Ushakov’s statements is that the leak brought to light certain issues regarding Witkoff’s relations with the Kremlin and his role in United States policy toward Russia.
Witkoff, a close associate of Trump and with diplomatic achievements to his record, is a figure who shows understanding for the reasonable concerns of the Russian side about the required security guarantees.
His critics in Congress accuse him of allegedly advising the Kremlin on the best way to gain the favor of the American president and to strengthen relations between the two countries.

Russiagate
The reference to the historical role of the United Kingdom in the Russiagate affair strengthened the suspicions of those who believe that circles in London could be attempting to destabilize Washington–Moscow contacts, especially at a time when significant progress is being reported.
Further tension was caused by the possibility that the affair could also influence American internal political balances ahead of the midterm elections, with some observers estimating that the targeting of Witkoff could revive scenarios of “Russiagate 2.0”.
His dismissal, at this juncture, would harm the already fragile negotiation process, especially since Zelensky is reportedly considering an immediate meeting with Trump for the finalization of the peace framework.

The Russian reaction
Ushakov commented on the matter, “There are certain conversations on WhatsApp that, generally speaking, someone may somehow manage to listen to.”
At the same time, he ruled out the possibility that the leak came from the participants in the call and stated that he would raise the issue with Witkoff.
Dmitriev, special envoy of Putin, described the Bloomberg publication about the telephone conversation on 29 October as “false”.
In addition, the Russian deputy foreign minister Sergey Ryabkov denounced that certain media outlets are being used within the framework of a hybrid information operation that European countries are launching against Russia with the goal of destabilizing its ties with Washington.

The political and diplomatic significance
The affair highlights the fragile nature of international communications in an era where leaks and the use of media outlets can directly influence diplomatic strategy.
Moscow appears determined to defend the credibility of its communications and to demonstrate that certain media outlets operate as instruments of pressure, integrating information management into its broader strategy of security and diplomacy.
This case offers an important warning: leaks, especially in environments of high geopolitical tension, are never neutral.
They can influence the perception of interlocutors’ credibility, create political pressure, and become tools in a hybrid information war.
The “Witkoff” affair and the accusations of false journalism highlight the interaction between diplomacy, media, and informational strategies.
Moscow appears to be mobilizing methodically in order to protect its interests and to ensure that communication management with Washington will not be distorted or used as a pressure tool by third parties.
The affair ultimately constitutes an example of modern multidimensional diplomacy, where information and its management become weapons of power.
