The next steps of the "Hope for Democracy, Maria Karystianou" movement were analyzed during an appearance on the MAGGA show on BNtv, the online television station of BankingNews.gr, by Giannis Chatziantoniou, an executive of the "Hope for Democracy, Maria Karystianou" movement and a lawyer. He clarifies that Maria Karystianou does not intend to cooperate with any other party to chase power or negotiate positions: "No cooperation where we divide up posts, like the Tsipras-Kammenos model!
'Hope' does not horse-trade chairs! If the people do not support us, let us remain in the opposition," he stresses, responding to journalist Angie Stathatou. Mr. Chatziantoniou himself joined Maria Karystianou's side, seeking, as he tells us, hope for a better Greece. A hope he did not find in the other parties he had occasionally collaborated with: "I passed through PASOK, I went to SYRIZA, but I left with the signing of the 3rd memorandum."
We will renegotiate the Prespa Agreement - Creation of a Greek Language Institute
"We will put the national interest above all else," says Giannis Chatziantoniou, who presents a proposal for the creation of a Greek Institute for the Certification of the Greek Language. "It is unacceptable and sad that Mitsotakis speaks English in international forums," he emphasizes. When will the positions of Maria Karystianou's movement be ready? And what will be the process for their ratification? When will the president of "Hope for Democracy" move to Athens, and from which region will she start her tours? What does he reveal about subsidies for greenhouses? As for the Prespa Agreement?
"It is an unacceptable compromise, and we will request a renegotiation, using the veto for the neighboring country's accession to the EU as a weapon." Justice, foreign policy, and Greece-Turkey relations are among the issues that concern Maria Karystianou. The movement's proposals also include "reasoned judicial rulings, the reduction of ENFIA property tax on rental properties, and the rewarding of consistent professionals and taxpayers with tax cuts."
