Unprecedented – Those who spoke to Trump about Mitsotakis said “change him” – The 13-hour workday did not help Greece’s international image
Between Greece and Turkey, Trump will side with his friend, Erdogan.
There is a core group of people with whom US President Trump discusses Greece.

The majority of them are not positive about Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and this includes Alexandros Karloutsos, father of the Orthodox Church, whom Trump respects greatly.
Additionally, when Trump mentioned the Halki theological school in front of Erdogan, it was not the result of Greek foreign policy, but rather the influence of the Church.
The image Trump has formed of Mitsotakis is clearly negative. He was informed that Mitsotakis had mocked him, that Greece was the first Orthodox country in the world to enact a law for homosexuals, that it has supported Ukraine, and that poor relations between Greece and Turkey were wrongly attributed to Greece.

A source in the Republican Party who spoke to BN stated: "Those who have spoken to Trump — not all, but most — did not express positive views about Mitsotakis; some even said, if possible, change him.
A video in which Mitsotakis appeared to belittle Trump has been seen by Trump’s aides, and apparently this was relayed to Trump as well, which he did not like. He even swore."
It is also accurate that Mitsotakis knows he cannot open direct communication channels with Trump but is attempting to build bridges, yet so far, the American President has rejected many proposals and messages sent regarding Mitsotakis.

Between Greece and Turkey, Trump will side with his friend, Erdogan

Many issues will soon emerge between Greece and Turkey, focusing on territorial waters and more.
US President Trump will side with his friend Erdogan, as he has described him; “he’s tough but he’s a friend,” Trump had remarked.

The Karloutsos did not help Greece’s international image

The recently established 13-hour workday did not help Greece’s international image.
All international media, even in Mozambique, the US, India, Germany, and Russia, reported on the issue, and it was not received positively.
The 13-hour workday is optional, and as it appears, except for a few exceptions, it will be rejected by society.
Recently, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis told political parties in Parliament: "I cannot follow all of you because you have exceeded your speaking time"
When the Prime Minister, who has the institutional duty to monitor everything in Parliament, cannot follow the parties due to time constraints… it is evident that the 13-hour workday is an exaggeration that will not gain social acceptance.

Footnote

There are thousands of people working 12- and 15-hour shifts in private companies, taxi services, etc., but this is a choice.
A company owner can work 15 hours a day and not take leave for years, but this is by choice.
Establishing it, even optionally, creates wrong associations and reactions, and trade unions also mismanaged their stance.
In any case, the international reception of the optional measure was negative.
