Iran Ministry of Foreign Affairs: We condemn the attacks of the US terrorist army – They hit two bridges

According to the Tasnim news agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns in the most categorical way the aggressive attacks of the "US terrorist army", which were carried out in the early hours of Thursday, July 8, against several points in the southern coastal provinces of the country, as well as against two bridges in the eastern provinces, on the railway line to the holy city of Mashhad.

The ministry emphasizes that these attacks undoubtedly constitute a blatant war crime and reiterates the unwavering determination of the Iranian people to defend the territorial integrity, national sovereignty, and security of the country.

The, as they are characterized, criminal attacks of the United States against the Islamic Republic of Iran in the last 48 hours, under the pretext of reacting to alleged incidents involving certain ships that allegedly violated the transit rules through the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday, constitute not only a flagrant violation of paragraph 4 of Article 2 of the United Nations Charter, but also a serious violation of paragraphs 1 and 5 of the Memorandum of Understanding to end the war, while being used as a pretext to justify the continuous breach of US commitments under the agreement.

The Iran Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that the "malicious and psychopathic" leadership of the US, being unable to understand the scale of patriotism and dedication of the Iranians to the ideals of the Revolution, resorted to insults, false claims, and military aggression, including targeting the railway line to Mashhad.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran also expresses its aversion to the, as it characterizes them, vulgar statements of the US President and other American officials against the great Iranian nation and considers that their public admission that they are no longer bound by the Memorandum of Understanding to end the war constitutes yet another clear proof of breaching agreements, immorality, warmongering, and aggression by the American leadership.
