The US Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, stated that the United States are ready to resume military action and to reimpose a blockade if Iran does not honor its commitments under the US–Iran agreement. "The president has made it clear that we will be prepared to recommence our actions, if during the timeline of these talks Iran does not do what it has committed to do," stated Hegseth in Brussels, following his meeting with the NATO defense ministers. "If Iran does not comply, then we are absolutely in a position to bring back a completely impenetrable blockade," added Hegseth.
