Thriller over the US strike on Iran: The State Department recommends sweeping bombardment - Trump: “The killings have stopped”
A matter of hours for the sweeping US attack on Iran - Targets locked, uncertainty over the exact timing of the operation

The US military operation against Iran is unfolding into an unprecedented thriller for the administration of Donald Trump, with Reuters revealing that it could “take place within the next 24 hours”, while the American president carefully weighs the situation, as he received recommendations from US allies in the Middle East to cancel the operation against Tehran.
For his part, an Israeli official told the agency that the President of the USA, Donald Trump, appears to have decided to carry out the operation, however the scale and the exact timing remain unclear.

At the same time, US military personnel stationed at Middle East bases are being moved to other facilities and to hotels in the wider region.
Three diplomats told Reuters that some members of the personnel had been asked to leave the Al Udeid base in Qatar, although there were no immediate indications of the transfer of a large number of soldiers to a football stadium and a shopping mall, as happened a few hours before the Iranian missile attack last spring.
The aim of the move is to remove them from potential dangers, in case a US attack triggers retaliation from Tehran.

Strange backtracking by Trump: “I have information that the killings in Iran have stopped”

However, late on the night of Wednesday 14, the American President Donald Trump appeared to be backtracking, stating that he received information that the killings in Iran have ceased and that there are no plans for executions, according to the agency Tass.
“They told us that the killings in Iran are stopping. They have stopped. They are stopping. And there is no plan for executions, or. persecutions, or killings. That is what I was told by a reliable source. We will find out,” he stated characteristically.
Donald Trump had previously threatened retaliation and the taking of serious measures in the event that the death penalty was applied to protesters in Iran.

The USA threaten 50 targets inside Iran - 23 bases of the Revolutionary Guards in the Pentagon’s sights

The White House has a list of priority targets in Iran, which was compiled by the United Against Nuclear Iran organization based in Washington, reports the Daily Mail.
Earlier this week, representatives of the organization delivered a list of 50 priority targets in Iran to officials of the Donald Trump administration.
The list was particularly detailed, including addresses and coordinates.
Thus, the Americans already had much to discuss at the security meeting.
The list is quite interesting, as it contains the exact coordinates of the Sarallah headquarters of the IRGC and four regional headquarters in Tehran, each of which is responsible for controlling a specific area of the city.

It also lists the coordinates of 23 military bases of the Basij and the main security brigades, Ale-e Mohammad and Al-Zahra.
The USA believe that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is behind the suppression of the protests.
Meanwhile, Tehran has notified its allies in the Middle East of its intention to strike American military bases on their territory in the event of an attack by Washington.
In this light, the Pentagon began to withdraw some American troops from key bases.
Experts believe that the decision for the strike has already been taken.
Donald Trump does not end wars in the new year, he fuels them.

A plan for strikes on Iran’s nuclear and military infrastructure in Trump’s hands

The Pentagon presented President Donald Trump with a “broad range of options” for targets in Iran, including the country’s nuclear program and ballistic missile sites, reveals the newspaper New York Times, citing American officials.
However, other options, such as a cyberattack or a strike against Iran’s internal security apparatus, are considered more likely, officials told the NYT.
An attack is at least several days away and could provoke a robust response from Iran, officials told the newspaper.
The report states, based on military officials, that the US Navy currently has three missile equipped destroyers in the Middle East region, including the Roosevelt, which in recent days was redirected to the Red Sea.
The US Navy also has at least one missile equipped submarine in the region, Pentagon officials said.

Israelis move Iron Dome batteries to major urban centers

At the same time, footage circulating on social media shows Israeli officials moving batteries and equipment of the Iron Dome air defense system near major urban centers, amid the risk of missile retaliation from Iran.

The Israeli army is on constant alert for any “unexpected scenarios” in light of the protests in Iran, said the IDF spokesperson, Brigadier General Efi Defrin.
As a result, the Israeli army is “ready for defense and remains on alert for unexpected scenarios,” he wrote on X.
The general considers the protests in Iran an “internal affair” of the Islamic Republic.
He also called on the public not to trust unverified sources of information.
“In recent days, many rumors have circulated regarding the situation in Iran.
We continue to regularly assess the situation and will inform you of any changes, if they arise.
I emphasize: do not fall victim to rumors,” Efi Defrin stressed.

Russian warning: An attack on Iran will be recorded as the greatest mistake of the Americans

Leonid Slutsky, head of the Duma Committee on International Affairs, warned that a US military attack on Iran would be Washington’s “most serious mistake” and could destabilize the entire region.
He accused the USA of endangering oil markets and regional stability while claiming that Western powers are fueling Iran’s protests to push for regime change.

Warning for evacuation of military bases

Three diplomatic officials informed Reuters on Wednesday that members of the personnel have received instructions to leave the Al Udeid military base by the evening of Wednesday 14/1.
The US embassy in Doha did not immediately comment on the news.

The British are also leaving Qatar

According to the latest information, Britain issued instructions for the withdrawal of its personnel from military bases in Qatar.
Earlier, diplomats told Reuters that some members of the personnel of the US military base in Qatar were also given instructions to leave.
More specifically, members of the personnel were instructed to leave the Al Udeid air base of the US military in Qatar by today 14/1, Wednesday, in the evening, three diplomats told Reuters.
Al Udeid is the largest American base in the Middle East, hosting approximately 10.000 soldiers.
Before the US air strikes on Iran in June, some members of the personnel were removed from American bases in the Middle East.

Threats from Tehran

According to a senior Iranian official, Iran has warned regional countries that it will strike American military bases in those states in the event of an attack by the USA.
These reports could not be independently confirmed by the media.

The importance of Al Udeid

Al Udeid is the largest American base in the Middle East and hosts approximately 10.000 soldiers.
Similar personnel movements had taken place before the American air strikes against Iran in June, as a security measure to protect military personnel in the region.

Iran at the peak of war readiness

Amid tension with the USA and protests at home, Iran is raising its readiness, with General Majid Mousavi of the Revolutionary Guards assuring that the country is at the “peak of its readiness”.
