Shock in Venezuela: General Tabata betrayed Maduro to the US – The dirty role of Rodriguez and the Qatar bargain

The secret deal in Qatar between the Americans and Delcy Rodríguez and the deactivation of air defense systems by Javier Marcano Tabata.

Sweeping revelations are coming to light in Venezuela regarding the abduction of President Nicolás Maduro by the US, with authorities naming General Javier Marcano Tabata, head of counterintelligence and the presidential guard, as the mastermind behind the great betrayal, local media reported yesterday, January 7. Delcy Rodríguez, who was appointed interim president with the approval of Donald Trump, decided to dismiss and arrest General Javier Marcano Tabata, who was responsible for counterintelligence and presidential security under Maduro. The general was accused of providing information to the Americans regarding the Venezuelan president's location and deactivating air defense protocols.

It is alleged that Tabata is responsible for the fact that Venezuela's air defense, although particularly powerful and modern, did not fire a single shot against the American special operations helicopters that flew freely over Caracas.

Tabata purged and arrested

Delcy Rodríguez dismissed and arrested General Javier Marcano Tabata, head of counterintelligence and the Presidential Honor Guard. He is accused of providing contact data for President Maduro and neutralizing air defense protocols. At the same time, a multitude of experts and analysts believe that Rodríguez herself is also involved in Maduro's abduction. The US promised her access to her frozen accounts in Qatar and Turkey in exchange for leaking information about the Venezuelan president. As early as last fall, American media reported secret talks in Qatar between representatives of the US and Venezuela.

The secret bargain in Qatar between the Americans and Delcy Rodríguez

Delcy Rodríguez and her brother, the president of the Venezuelan parliament, Jorge Rodríguez, participated in the talks from the Caracas side. There, the plan to remove Maduro from power was discussed. Many political analysts are convinced that Maduro was surrendered by his inner circle. This explains the inaction of the air defense and the Venezuelan military, which had not even received orders for the defense of Caracas and their president. In reality, only Maduro's Cuban security fought. Havana reported the death of 32 Cuban citizens from the Revolutionary Forces (army) and the Ministry of Interior.

CIA agent in the Maduro government gave the US critical information

It is noted that just a few hours after the American intervention, BN made startling revelations that shed light on the background of the operation that led to the arrest of the Venezuelan president, Nicolas Maduro. According to the report, a CIA source within the Venezuelan government monitored Maduro's movements and provided critical information to the United States, making the operation to capture him possible. This is a resounding confirmation of BN's assessment from the first moment of the intervention that it was clearly a case of internal betrayal. As reported, this specific source transmitted data on the Venezuelan leader's exact location, allowing American forces to move with speed and precision.

This element strengthens the scenarios of internal erosion and betrayal within the ranks of the Venezuelan state apparatus. Meanwhile, CNN reported that FBI personnel also participated in the operation, while the NYT had already revealed that the arrest was carried out with the participation of the elite special forces unit Delta Force, highlighting the combination of military and intelligence services in the operation.

Lukashenko: Collusion and betrayal in the Maduro abduction case

For his part, the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, stated that the case of the abduction of the Venezuelan leader, Nicolás Maduro, by the United States involved elements of collusion and betrayal. In statements reported by the BelTA news agency, Lukashenko stressed: "I want you to understand: everything was there. The agreement, the money paid, including to people in Venezuela, both military and civilians. There was collusion and there was betrayal. Everything was there." This statement sheds new light on a case that has sparked international interest and raises questions about transparency and dark international negotiations surrounding critical political affairs.

Death toll at 100 from the American operation in Venezuela, missiles hit buildings

It is noted that the United States Armed Forces used anti-radar missiles and guided glide weapons during the January 3 operation in Venezuela, which resulted in the arrest of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores. Venezuelan media published a photo showing the remains of an AGM-88 series anti-radar missile, which were found in a three-story residential building where one civilian was killed and another seriously injured in the city of Catia La Mar. The missile was likely the latest AGM-88E version, known as Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missiles (AARGM). This version has a maximum speed of Mach 2.9 and a maximum range of up to 148 kilometers depending on the flight profile, while carrying a 68 kg warhead.

In addition to the main passive guidance towards radar emissions, the AARGM is equipped with an inertial navigation system (INS) assisted by GPS. This allows the missile to hit radiation-emitting targets even if they have been deactivated. It also enables it to attack all types of static ground targets, provided their coordinates have been entered before launch. The main feature of the AARGM is the active millimeter-wave radar seeker, which allows it to engage moving targets that emit radiation. Despite all these features, the missile apparently failed to hit its intended target, likely a radar station or an anti-aircraft defense system, and instead struck the building.

Furthermore, a video released by Venezuelan authorities revealed that the Venezuelan Institute of Scientific Research, near the city of San Antonio de Los Altos, was targeted with an AGM-154 Joint Standoff Weapon (JSOW) guided glide weapon. It is unclear if there were fatalities from the strike. The munition was the latest AGM-154C version, which features a terminal infrared seeker in addition to a GPS-assisted INS. This version of the JSOW is equipped with a multi-stage Bomb Royal Ordnance Augmented Charge warhead, known as BROACH. It has a range of 130 kilometers. The AGM-88E missile was likely launched from one of the EA-18G Growler electronic warfare aircraft deployed at José Aponte de la Torre Airport in Puerto Rico, while the AGM-154C was likely launched from one of the F/A-18E Super Hornet fighters operating from the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford.

The American military used brute force during the special operation in Venezuela, killing dozens of people, including at least two civilians. Venezuelan Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello stated on January 7 that 100 people died in the operation. Previous reports stated the number was 70 or 80 at most. The Venezuelan military posted a list of 23 names of its dead, while Cuba stated that 32 members of its military and intelligence services lost their lives. The United States also had casualties, with recent reports revealing that seven members of Delta Force, the elite military unit that led the operation, were injured. A Pentagon official told MS Now on January 7 that two are still recovering, while five have recovered from their injuries. More details regarding the United States military operation will likely come to light in the near future, especially as the Venezuelan government ordered the arrest of all those who helped in the capture of Maduro. Even the death toll specifically could increase in the coming days.
