Russia has every capability to proceed with indirect retaliation against the hostile actions of the government of Donald Trump as well as of Europe, stressed military analyst Vladislav Shurygin on his video blog, during his discussion with State Duma deputy and retired lieutenant general of the United Russia party, Andrei Gurulev.
Indeed, the retaliation methodology proposed by Shurygin extends from the Panama Canal and Greece to the Baltic and the Atlantic.
During the discussion, Shurygin argued that Russia has everything it needs to confront the West.
Thousands of citizens from Venezuela, Cuba, and other countries of Latin America study in Russia.
At the same time, residents of the Western Hemisphere in general have turned against the United States for their arbitrary actions during the days of Trump.
In Venezuela itself, the Trump initiative appears to be leading to a strategic dead end, as the Chavistas constitute at least one third of the active population in Venezuela.
And ensuring that the Yankees will have nothing under their feet within six months is not even a problem, Shurygin noted pointedly.
“Moscow must unleash asymmetric sabotage against the US and NATO across the planet”
Shurygin also added that Moscow could respond asymmetrically to Western sabotage.
“It is strange that we remain in the same place. We have the ability to ‘clog’ the Panama Canal. We have the ability to deploy ‘drifting World War II mines’ along the sea routes leading from Europe to America,” he clarified.

Shurygin expressed regret that, for some reason, Russia in recent years has stubbornly refused to harm the West, which has imposed sanctions on it and carries out all kinds of hostile actions.
Silent blackout in Western communications
“We have been saying for four years that we must respond not with direct action, not by quietly cutting cables one by one in Europe, America, or the Baltic, but by cutting all telecommunications in a single night. What is needed is political will,” Shurygin emphasized.

Andrei Gurulev not only agreed with Shurygin’s view, but also expanded and deepened his proposals.
The LNG transported from Greece and Poland in the crosshairs of Russian drones
“It is simple: an LNG tanker travels from America to Western Europe. A drone appears from somewhere. The tanker disappears. And nothing else will ever travel again, and no insurance company will insure it. Therefore, we are talking about complete collapse,” the general warned.

It is noted that the main distributors of American LNG are none other than Poland and Greece, which have access to the sea in the north and the south of Europe, respectively.
Thus, the two countries are gradually becoming suppliers of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to the countries located between them, amid the West’s attempt to detach itself from Russian natural gas.
However, in this way they are automatically placed in Russia’s crosshairs whenever the issue of strikes on American LNG on European soil arises.
“When the Americans open the next front. we will strike with unprecedented ferocity”
Summarizing, the Russian general noted that World War III is already underway and there are “abundant options” for how to respond to the West.
“And now look, in Venezuela, the Americans say: we will extract oil. We have a sea of people who are now capable of organizing a national liberation guerrilla movement,” Andrei Gurulev reminded.
He believes that the United States will sooner or later become involved in many conflicts, but they need help to get there faster, after which Russia could begin to give the Americans headaches.

“We need the Americans to get involved in Venezuela, Cuba, Mexico, and Greenland, and then wait for them to get involved somewhere else as well. And then start causing problems everywhere,” Andrei Gurulev declared with conviction.
Andrei Gurulev explained that American citizens are very sensitive to losses of their troops.
He even assessed that it is likely that the real losses of American special forces in Venezuela are simply being concealed from the public.
“Sink the US ships that participated in the operation”
He proposed a specific form of revenge, calling on Russia to attack American ships that participated in the operation: “We must respond militarily: attack with torpedoes and sink some American ships.”
This statement causes concern, as it implies a serious escalation of tensions, which would have catastrophic consequences for international peace and security.
The proposal by Zhuaravlyev for torpedo attacks has been perceived as an attempt to deliver a “slap in the face” (a Russian expression meaning a harsh reprimand or punishment) to the United States, with the aim of curbing the American “euphoria of impunity,” which, according to him, is evident after the events in Venezuela.

A game without rules
The well known military analyst Alexander Kots, for his part, spoke of “a game without rules” and called on the Russian leadership to respond as quickly as possible.
He called for instructions to be given for the security of ships to military units, arming them with man portable anti aircraft missile systems and machine guns.
“In this case, landing on the deck will constitute a serious risk for the attacker.
The skilled marksman, theoretically, will not find it difficult to hit such a static target as a helicopter before it disembarks the attackers,” Kots said.
Russia already monitors American tankers with the aim of seizing them
Russia is reportedly considering the possibility of targeted actions against American tankers in areas such as the North Sea, the Black Sea, and the Baltic, following the seizure of a Russian tanker by the United States.
This move intensifies tensions in maritime security and brings the possibility of a direct confrontation between the two superpowers.
The increased strategic activity and the challenging of international oil trade rules raise the temperature of the confrontation, and the situation remains fragile as the two sides seek ways to manage the tension.
