Amok Rutte (NATO): Europeans, prepare to fight the Russians

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, in a press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, called on European countries to increase their defense spending in order to be ready “to fight the Russians.”
“The US expected that we, the European countries, would spend more, at least as much as they do, not because we must spend the same, but because it is necessary to achieve our defense capabilities to ensure that we could fight the Russians if they attack us,” Rutte stated.
Earlier, the Wall Street Journal reported that the German armed forces are preparing a plan for war with Russia, which includes the deployment of 800,000 NATO troops along the presumed eastern front line, which, however, would not pass through German territory.
In his statements today, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Russia has no plan to attack NATO or the EU, emphasizing that it is ready to submit a related document.
However, he noted that if Europe attacks Russia, it is ready to respond even now.
