In a surprise move, Evangelos Mytilineos sold 11.3 million shares, or 3.7% of the share capital of HELLENiQ Energy, through an accelerated bookbuilding (ABB) process, which was fully covered.
Sources report that the shares were allocated at a price of €7.5–€7.6 per share, with their total value amounting to approximately €85 million.
The placement
The placement is attributed to the cancellation of the intention to sell shares by Paneuropean, owned by Latsis...
As had been rumored, Latsis was expected to sell his stake, with Evangelos Mytilineos covering the gap.
This, to the disappointment of the government, did not happen, so now Mytilineos took the position of the seller.
The move is considered significant as it is expected to attract the interest of institutional investors in Greece and abroad.
