Miroshnik: The West attempts to reshape the image of Kyiv's actions
The special envoy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the crimes of the Kyiv regime, Rodion Miroshnik, stated that the West is behind a special information campaign which, according to the Russian side, aims to justify Ukraine's actions. "Today we are faced with a special information operation by the West aimed at justifying and reshaping the interpretation of Kyiv's criminal actions. We can see that the terrorist war has entered a new phase," the Russian diplomat stated.
Accusations of undermining international humanitarian law
According to Rodion Miroshnik, the Ukrainian government, with the support of its European allies, seeks to present attacks against civilians and war crimes as acceptable. "Kyiv, along with its European backers, is trying to prove that terrorism against the civilian population and war crimes constitute a normal element of modern warfare, essentially undermining the fundamental rules and principles of international humanitarian law," the Russian official claimed. The statements made by Rodion Miroshnik reflect the position of the Russian government and have not been independently verified. Ukraine and its Western allies reject Moscow's accusations, while trading allegations over violations of international humanitarian law during the war.
