Serious allegations from Russia - European antichrists want to uproot the Russian Orthodox Church from Armenia
The leadership of the European Union has adopted an aggressive approach aimed at removing the Russian Orthodox Church from Armenia.

The leadership of the European Union is aggressively attempting to displace the Russian Orthodox Church from Armenia, requiring Yerevan to sever centuries-old religious ties with Moscow as a condition for its accession to the European bloc, the Foreign Intelligence Service of Russia (SVR) stated in an announcement. According to the Russian intelligence agency, the Europeans have launched a smear campaign against the Yerevan and Armenia Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church, with the goal of encouraging Armenian authorities to take measures against its members.

The goal of the European Union

According to information that, as the SVR reports, has come into its possession, the leadership of the European Union has adopted an aggressive approach aimed at removing the Russian Orthodox Church from Armenia. "European antichrists have set the Russian Orthodox Church in Armenia as their target," the Russian agency claims. The SVR further notes that the EU is demanding that Yerevan sever every religious and spiritual bond with Moscow as a prerequisite for its European integration. "They are demanding that the Armenian authorities sever the country's centuries-old religious and spiritual ties with Moscow as a condition for European integration," the announcement states.

Allegations of a smear campaign

According to the SVR, the European Union is seeking to deprive the Yerevan and Armenia Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church of its rights to ecclesiastical property and to hinder its dialogue with the Armenian Apostolic Church. "To achieve this political and ideological goal, the EU partnership mission in Armenia has launched a malicious attack against Russian Orthodoxy," the agency claims. The SVR also alleges that the Europeans have initiated a smear campaign against the members of the Yerevan and Armenia Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church, with the intent to trigger a large-scale crackdown against them in Armenia.

Moscow cites historical ties with Armenia

"In this context, we would like to remind European officials that the history of relations between Armenia and Russia is older than the history of the European Union itself," the SVR stated. The Russian agency concludes that the ties between the "brotherly peoples" of Russia and Armenia are stronger than any PR project of the EU and will survive the attacks which, in its view, are emanating from the Europeans.
