Russia issues unprecedented warning to evacuate Kyiv as threat of total strike on government district escalates
Russia directly signals - For the first time since the outbreak of the war in February 2022 - that it will level the heart of Kyiv, including the parliament and the presidential palace

Rapid developments are unfolding on the front in Ukraine, with the Russian Ministry of Defense officially requesting the evacuation of Kyiv and the removal of diplomatic personnel from government buildings of the Ukrainian capital.
Indeed, Moscow directly signals, for the first time since the outbreak of the war in February 2022, that it will level the heart of Kyiv, including the parliament and the presidential palace, as a response to the threats of the unconstitutional president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky for a Ukrainian attack on the parade for Victory Day in Moscow on May 9.
Consequently, Russian officials issued a notice to all civilians and diplomatic personnel in Kyiv to leave the Ukrainian metropolis immediately.
Subsequently, the member of the Defense Committee of the State Duma, Andrei Kolesnik, speaking to Lenta.ru, stated that the Ukrainian leader “went too far” and that now the time has come for him to be punished for his reckless threats.

Russia: Leave the Ukrainian capital now - We will level the heart of Kyiv

Civilians and diplomatic personnel in Kyiv must leave the city immediately, warned the Russian Ministry of Defense, according to the Tass agency.
The ministry emphasized that if Ukraine attempts to disrupt the celebrations for Victory Day, the Russian Armed Forces will launch a retaliatory strike on the center of Kyiv.

“We warn the civilian population of Kyiv and the employees of foreign diplomatic missions of the need to leave the city immediately,” the statement says.
Earlier, it was reported that Volodymyr Zelensky had threatened a possible attack on the parade for Victory Day in Moscow on May 9.
Russia immediately announced that it will respond in Kyiv if such an attack is attempted.
Specifically, the member of the Defense Committee of the State Duma, Andrei Kolesnik, speaking to Lenta.ru, stated that the Ukrainian president “went too far”.

Harsh response from Zakharova to Zelensky’s threats for May 9 - “The Nazis are attacking again, 80 years later”

A fierce attack against Kyiv was launched earlier by the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova. with the upcoming celebratory events for Victory Day as a backdrop.
On the occasion of the recent warnings of Volodymyr Zelensky about possible drone strikes during the Russian celebrations on May 9, Maria Zakharova did not mince her words.

Speaking to the Tass agency, the Russian official directly compared the current leadership of Ukraine with the Nazi regime of 1945.
“The Nazis are desperately resisting Victory Day, just as they did 80 years ago in Germany. The exact same phenomenon we observe today in Ukraine,” she characteristically stated.

May 9 in the crosshairs

Moscow appears to treat threats of attacks with unmanned aerial vehicles, drones, not simply as military operations, but as a sacrilegious attempt to strike the historical memory and pride of the Russian people.
According to the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
The resistance put up by Kyiv is the “last flash” of an ideology that was defeated in 1945.

The threats of Volodymyr Zelensky prove, according to Moscow, the complete “unleashing” of the forces that control Ukraine.
This rhetoric is expected to ignite a new cycle of tension, as May 9 approaches and Russia prepares for the traditional parades in Red Square, under draconian security measures.
The statement of Maria Zakharova sends a clear message: For Moscow, the conflict in Ukraine is not simply a geopolitical war, but a historical continuation of the battle against fascism, with all that this entails for the intensity of future operations.

Zelensky exposed as neo-Nazi figure after threatening drone strike on Moscow during Great Anti-Fascist Victory celebrations

It is noted that the new wave of tension was triggered by statements attributed to the Ukrainian president, a few days before the Victory Day parade in Moscow.
Reports of possible use of drones increase concern about escalation in an already explosive environment.
According to publications, Volodymyr Zelensky is said to have left open the possibility of attacks with unmanned aerial vehicles, even during the parade of May 9 in Moscow, which honors the victory in World War II.

The discussions

In a period of fragile balance, the Ukrainian president is attempting to capitalize on diplomatic and military benefits. On the sidelines of the summit of the European Political Community, contacts with European and Canadian leaders were accompanied by new commitments of support, but also sharp statements that raise tensions again with Moscow.

In Yerevan, within the framework of the summit of the European Political Community, Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with European and Canadian leaders the developments around the negotiations with Russia, which are conducted with American mediation.
As he mentioned in his post, his interlocutors assessed that the negotiating position of Kyiv has been significantly strengthened.

“Pause” in negotiations - New diplomatic push

Volodymyr Zelensky noted that developments in the Middle East affect the course of the talks:
“Due to the war in Iran there is an obvious pause in the negotiations.
We discussed how to intensify the process, contacts with America and the role of Europe,” he stated.
At the same time, he emphasized that the situation on the front strengthens the position of Ukraine at the negotiating table.

New funding and military reinforcement

In the same context, new financial support from Canada was announced.
Mark Carney committed to an additional 200 million dollars, which will be directed to the purchase of American weapons through the program PURL.
At the same time, Mark Rutte confirmed the continuation of the supply of anti-aircraft, anti-ballistic systems to Ukraine.

European air defense on the table

The talks also expanded to the strategic strengthening of European defense:

1) development of European missile systems

2) strengthening of air defense

3) greater autonomy of Europe in the field of armaments
This discussion reflects the growing concern about security in the wider region.

Barbs toward Moscow and May 9

Particular impression was caused by the statements of Volodymyr Zelensky regarding the parade of May 9 in Moscow.
He himself argued that there may be restrictions on military presence, while, according to his words, “Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles could also appear” at the parade.
