Russian IGLA-100 super-weapons prove lethal: Destroying every type of Ukrainian drone with chilling accuracy

"The IGLA-100 cartridge showed the best results during the practical demonstration, produced with a filling of ultra-hard pellets based on a tungsten, nickel, and iron alloy," Rostec announced.

The Russian Armed Forces have begun receiving the "IGLA-100" ultra-hard anti-drone cartridges, which show optimal results in combating mini-drones, according to a relevant post on Telegram by the state company Rostec. The report describes the training of military personnel by instructors in Novorossiya to counter enemy drones using small arms, specifically with the aid of IGLA-100 cartridges and ammunition featuring lead shot and special fragments. "The best results during the practical demonstration were shown by the IGLA-100 cartridge, which is produced by an enterprise of the state corporation, filled with ultra-hard pellets based on a tungsten, nickel, and iron alloy," announced Rostec. They also added that the cartridge penetrates a reference aluminum sheet at a distance of up to one hundred meters and demonstrates the precision required to neutralize the main components of an FPV drone. In December, Rostec reported on Telegram that the 12-gauge IGLA-100 cartridges are capable of breaching the body of an unmanned aerial vehicle constructed from durable materials. In July, Forbes noted that Ukraine began producing anti-drone cartridges for automatic weapons, which are a replica of the Russian ones.
