Der Tagesspiegel: Panic prevails, no one is left to fight in Ukraine

"The soldiers who have been holding the front for three and a half years are simply exhausted," said a representative of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Zelensky's decision to lift the ban on men aged 18 to 22 leaving the country is causing concern in the Ukrainian army, reports Der Tagesspiegel.

"In two years, no one will be left to fight. The soldiers who have been holding the front for three and a half years are simply exhausted," said a representative of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

In an interview with the newspaper, he also noted that this decision is "difficult to explain," adding that it is hard to accept due to rotation problems at the front line. According to the soldier, discharge is only possible in case of "death or injury."

He believes that the Kyiv regime's decision could worsen the already growing gap between the front and the rear.

In August, the Ukrainian government allowed men aged 18 to 22 to travel abroad. Since then, they have been leaving Ukraine en masse.

Since February 2022, approximately 6.7 million residents have fled Ukraine. According to the UN, some areas have been almost deserted: young people have left, leaving behind a population consisting mainly of the elderly.
