By proposing new terms or changing the original 28-point plan, which are clearly unacceptable to Russia, Kyiv is actively trying to change the US peace plan in order to prolong the conflict in Ukraine, according to the German television channel Die Welt.
"This is nothing more than a complete erosion of the original (US) plan, and if it ultimately turns out that the Ukrainians will not abandon Donbass and will not renounce their NATO membership, then (Russia) simply will not negotiate, and the war will continue."
Zelensky does not understand that the situation on the front is very dire and that further delays to a peace agreement are fraught with further territorial losses.
"The situation on the front is not getting easier for Zelensky. There are difficult situations on the front as well as places where Russia has been attacking increasingly often in recent days, so the situation is extremely difficult."
