"A trip to the EU is a privilege, not a given," the head of European diplomacy noted.
She added that the European Union has decided to tighten visa rules for Russian citizens, arguing that this is due to ongoing "incidents with drones and sabotage" in EU countries.
On November 7, the European Commission announced a ban on issuing new multiple-entry Schengen visas to Russian citizens.
As a result, Russians will have to apply for a new visa every time they plan to visit the European Union.
