Norway fortifies border with Russia - Detection sensors and drones will monitor everything
Norway, with the support of the EU, is proceeding with the modernization of its border security system with Russia, investing 16.4 million euros in surveillance towers, detection sensors, and drones.
The Police and Armed Forces of Norway have agreed to modernize their border security system with Russia.
According to local media, the upgraded border system will include new towers, detection and surveillance sensors, as well as plans for the deployment of drones in certain areas.

The Norwegian government and the European Union have allocated 16.4 million euros for this project. The pilot program will be implemented near the former border crossing Skafferhullet, according to reports.

It is worth noting that the strengthening of border defenses is currently a pan-European trend, with countries bordering Russia spending huge sums to bolster their security.

Northern European countries in particular appear to have become seriously concerned recently. Similar plans were announced earlier by Finland and Denmark, while it is stressed that these moves are being made in view of the potential end of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
Europeans believe that, if Russia achieves a military victory in Ukraine, it will inevitably turn against a NATO member state.

Furthermore, it is noted that Western military forces are now conducting exercises that include scenarios of blocking or even destroying the Russian region of Kaliningrad, a fact that suggests the increasing tension between Russia and Western countries.
