Fear and terror of the seas: The Russian nuclear cruiser submarine “Khabarovsk”, capable of carrying 12 “Poseidons”
In Severodvinsk, Russia launched into the sea the mysterious nuclear submarine “Khabarovsk”, specially built to carry the super-missiles “Poseidon”, and capable of carrying 12 of them!

Unstoppable and unmatched, Russia proves dominant in the production of new weapons at a time when tensions have reached the red line.
In Severodvinsk, Russia launched into the sea the nuclear submarine “Khabarovsk”, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
The launching ceremony of the submarine from the shipyard took place at the shipbuilding enterprise AO “Sevmash”, under the leadership of the Minister of Defense, Andrei Belousov.
The “Khabarovsk” was designed by the Central Design Bureau for Marine Engineering “Rubin” and is intended for the execution of missions of the Russian Navy (RN), using modern underwater weapons.
“I would like to thank everyone who participated in the construction of the submarine for their diligent and high-quality work. The vessel must still undergo a cycle of sea trials. We wish the crew and the acceptance team good luck in their tests,” stated Belousov.

At the same time, the minister characterized the submarine as a heavy nuclear missile cruiser.

The minister emphasized that the “Khabarovsk” will allow for the successful execution of missions to secure Russia’s maritime borders and to protect its national interests in various regions of the Earth’s Oceans.
The naval commander of the Russian Navy, Admiral Alexander Moiseyev, informed the Minister of Defense that the “Khabarovsk” is designed to operate in icy conditions in the Arctic, both autonomously and in cooperation with naval groups of the Northern Fleet.

The “Khabarovsk” was built specifically for the “Poseidons”

The channel “Militarist” described the “Khabarovsk” as the most mysterious submarine of the Russian Navy.
The author of the analysis pointed out that, for the moment, there is no official photograph or even design drawing of the submarine, apart from schematic images on the foundation plate and the commemorative pens given to participants during the laying of the cornerstone in 2014.
From the video published by the Ministry of Defense, it is impossible to reveal technical details of the submarine, since the propeller assembly was covered with a protective shield during the release.
“All that exists now on the internet are only possible external design variants of the ‘Khabarovsk’,” the channel concluded.

The “Khabarovsk” was designed and built specifically for the nuclear submarine system “Poseidon”.
This was announced by the former Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Navy, Admiral Viktor Kravchenko.

The military expert Vladislav Shurygin clarified that the “Khabarovsk” will become the second carrier of the “Poseidons”.
The first and, so far, only carrier is the submarine “Belgorod”, which was built on an unfinished submarine hull of the Project 949A and entered service on July 8, 2022.
Meanwhile, the military reporter Evgeny Lisitsyn discovered that the cruiser can carry up to 12 nuclear missiles.
On October 29, the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, announced the successful completion of the tests of the nuclear-powered unmanned underwater vehicle “Poseidon”.
The known information about the system indicates that the unmanned vehicle can travel 3,300 nautical miles from the Norwegian Sea to the East Coast of the United States in 66 hours at a speed of 50 knots.

The analysts of TNI call the Poseidon “one of the most terrifying weapons we have ever seen.”

The Russian unmanned underwater vehicle Poseidon turned out to be more terrifying than anyone thought, wrote the military expert Brandon J. Weichert in his article for the magazine The National Interest.
“Even if the Russians exaggerate about the capabilities of the Poseidon, this system represents an entirely new form of strategic weapon,” noted the columnist.
He explained that the Poseidon is both nuclear-powered and unmanned.

The author noted that its appearance complicates both naval defense and arms control agreements.
According to Brandon J. Weichert, the Poseidon can be regarded as a symbol of Russian power and its ability to surpass the West with its “apocalyptic” weapons.
The expert estimated that the Russians no longer feel constrained by the West.
He meaningfully explained that after the end of the Cold War, Moscow felt compelled to endure endless humiliations from Western powers.
The Poseidon is simply another sign that the world has entered dark times…
And that, unlike the end of the Cold War, destruction may be inevitable, predicted the American military expert.
Earlier, the retired Lieutenant Colonel of the U.S. Army, Earl Rasmussen, noted that the defensive capabilities Russia is acquiring thanks to the Burevestnik missile and the Poseidon underwater vehicle will force the West to postpone any thoughts of a possible strike against Russia.
