Japanese man in Russian forces - Volunteer fights Ukrainians like his grandfather fought the U.S. as a kamikaze

A Japanese citizen joined the Russian Army, converted to the Orthodox Christian faith, and is fighting in the zone of Russia’s Special Military Operation in Ukraine, according to a report by RT via Telegram.
The volunteer, who uses the code name Danya, spoke and showed his cross to the journalists.

With the help of an interpreter, the fighter explained that his conversion to Christianity was something he pursued to affirm the immortality of his soul.
As he said: “I wanted, when I die, for my soul to go to the same place as the souls of my friends.” Regarding the war, he stated that he followed the example of his grandfather, who served in the Japanese Army and fought against the U.S. as a Kamikaze.
