Lavrov intervention: Supports two-state solution for Middle East conflict
The Russian Foreign Minister emphasized that the solution should be based on the two-state principle and United Nations resolutions.
The Middle East conflict must be politically reignited and resolved through dialogue “as soon as possible,” said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov after meeting with his Moroccan counterpart, according to a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Lavrov stressed that the peace process must be based on the two-state principle, as outlined in UN resolutions, with the establishment of an independent Palestinian state coexisting peacefully and securely with Israel.
“It is vital to restart the political process to resolve the Middle East issue, based on UN decisions,” the Russian Foreign Minister stated.

Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov reiterated that Moscow will continue to provide humanitarian aid and all possible support to the Palestinian people, emphasizing that Russia is actively working to strengthen peace and stability in the region.
