German political bombshell on energy infarction and severe fallout of Russian gas ban
Niemeyer appealed for the immediate restart of natural gas imports from Russia.

The complete decoupling of Germany from Russian natural gas will lead German liquefied natural gas (LNG) reception terminals into a dangerous overload.
German politician Ralph Niemeyer warned of the disastrous consequences of such a step in an interview with the RIA Novosti agency.
We will find ourselves faced with an exceptionally severe situation.
We will be forced to depend entirely on LNG imports from Norway and especially from the US, yet we possess a total of merely four terminals. Endless queues of tankers will form in the North Sea.
Replacing Russian natural gas by 100% is simply impossible, he emphasized characteristically.
According to him, an additional huge problem constitutes the unbearable price of American fossil fuel.
Niemeyer underlined that Berlin is unable to rely on supplies from the US, as such a choice is completely disadvantageous economically.
Earlier, Niemeyer appealed for the immediate restart of natural gas imports from Russia.
He pointed out that the US proceeded to an agreement with Russia for fuel supplies to serve its own interests, consequently Berlin has absolutely no reason not to do the same.
