Ilias Kasidiaris: "Greek Nationalism is returning dynamically to the political forefront"
Commenting on a speech by Marco Rubio, which he characterizes as a stance in favor of nationalism and closed borders, Ilias Kasidiaris shared his thoughts in a post on platform X. Rubio's positioning was "more extreme" than his own speeches, for which, as he recalls, he was criminally prosecuted under the anti-racism law.
Reference to the legal case
Ilias Kasidiaris makes special reference to his multi-year legal case, noting that he remained on trial for three years over the phrase "Greece for Greeks," until he was definitively and irrevocably acquitted. At the same time, he criticizes "woke" politicians, pointing out that while in the past "they imprisoned Kasidiaris under the pretext of his nationalist rhetoric," today they applaud Rubio and present themselves as "patriots."
"The situation has changed completely internationally"
In the final part of his post, Ilias Kasidiaris argues that the international political landscape has shifted significantly and estimates that Greek Nationalism is returning dynamically to the political forefront. In addition, he refers to those who advocate in favor of banning political parties, describing them as "Stalinists" and predicting that they will "end up in the trash bin of History."
