In a demonstration of strength and power, as well as national unity, the Janfada-ye-Iran is taking place in Iran, a campaign of mass voluntary mobilization of citizens linked to the Basij and structures of the IRGC.
Millions of Iranians gathered in Tehran and other Iranian cities in order to send a message of unity, solidarity, and readiness to sacrifice everything for their country.
The Janfada-ye-Iran campaign, which roughly translates to «self-sacrifice for Iran», essentially involves the registration of Iranians (among them women, teenagers, etc.) into units with which they will be mobilized in the event of a crisis or war.
Enlistment in these units provides for their training by units of the Basij paramilitary organization, effectively forming the equivalent of a reserve military unit.
In statements, President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian maintained that this is a display of solidarity, a fact that constitutes a message not only toward nations such as the US and Israel, which attack Iran, but also toward the interior of the Islamic Republic: that we are ready for any crisis.
For his part, the commander of the IRGC described the participants in Janfada-ye-Iran as a «nightmare for the enemies».
The drill commenced early in the morning with the participation of combat battalions from the Jan-Fada campaign and people from all walks of life.
The largest popular campaign in the history of wars
Speaking during the drill in Tehran, Hossein Taeb, head of the Basij Organization, characterized the Jan-Fada campaign as the largest popular campaign in the history of wars worldwide.
«Jan Fada is the largest popular campaign in the history of the world's wars, and nowhere do we find a nation participating in this manner and willingly declaring its presence for battle across all fields», stated Hossein Taeb.
As he noted, the resistance of the people serves as a compass for the nation's officials and as a factor in defeating the enemy.
«When the enemy sees that our nation possesses tens of millions of Jan Fada, they accept their defeat, and today's Jan Fada are the nightmare of this country's enemies and a symbol of national resistance and the nation's progress», he said.
National symbol
Hossein Taeb described Jan-Fada as a symbol of the country's popular character and the resilience of the people in the face of threats.
He stated that the campaign also represents popular participation in defense and security, as well as the country's readiness to fight and defend itself against any threat.
He added that it likewise reflects readiness for nation-building and the achievement of high cultural goals.
As he reported, the current phase includes the integration of Jan-Fada participants into defense battalions, the completion of basic training, and the execution of advanced training across various land, air, and sea domains, in preparation for an all-out defense.
According to Hossein Taeb, this mass movement, which also includes military training, commenced in the wider region of Tehran and will subsequently be rolled out in cities and other regions across the entire country.
«This movement of millions will break the enemy's back», he said.

We defeated a 1 trillion dollar military
Hossein Taeb recalled that the enemy previously believed they could defeat the Iranian people within six weeks.
He maintained that the Iranian people had instead defeated «a one trillion dollar American military and the Zionist regime» and were now demonstrating their resilience against the enemy through their presence across diverse fields.
He also said that more than 60% of people in the United States oppose the war against Iran and question what has been achieved through it.
Hossein Taeb declared that the Iranian people will, through resistance, safeguard the country's critical defense points, including the Strait of Hormuz, and will compel the enemy to abandon the region.
«In the near future, the world will see the Americans leave this region in defeat», he said.
The exercise
The drill has been designed with the participation of both organized forces and civilian groups.
Earlier, Brigadier General Hassan Hassanzadeh, from the Hazrat Mohammad Rasoulollah Corps of the IRGC, had stated that registrations for the Jan-Fada campaign had already taken place across various stages.
As he noted, participants initially declared their readiness and then completed forms specifying the fields in which they wished to contribute.
These included support for the war effort, search and rescue, provision of aid to underprivileged areas, and defense, among others.
Hassan Hassanzadeh stated that the drill, which was designed with the participation of popular and organized forces, constitutes yet another example of unprecedented synergy among the IRGC, the Police, and various sectors of society, aimed at bolstering enduring security and confronting potential threats.

More than 31.5 million Iranians
More than 31.5 million Iranians have registered for the «Jan Fada» campaign, declaring their readiness to defend the homeland against acts of American-Israeli aggression.
Footage from the exercise also showed several Iranian drones on display, showcasing part of the country's capabilities in the unmanned aerial vehicle sector.
A parade of women was also held along the route of the exercise.
People from diverse social groups and age brackets made their way toward the route, including women and men, youths, teenagers, children, and the elderly.
Many carried symbols representing the campaign.
The tricolor flag of Iran was visible alongside red flags demanding vengeance for the «martyred» leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, who was assassinated on the first day of the American-Israeli offensive, on February 28.
Concurrently, yellow «Jan-Fada of Iran» flags formed a prominent element of the scene as the crowd moved along the route.
Participants raised their fists, while chants such as «Labbaik Ya Khamenei», «Allahu Akbar», «Death to America», and «Death to Israel» echoed across various points of the route.
