The Russian military torched the largest (clandestine) Polish industrial weapons center on Ukrainian soil, completely destroying Cersanit S.A. (a front company for military production) in the city of Zhytomyr, as Ukrainian media revealed on September 15.
Specifically, a strike deep in the Poland-Ukraine zone set ablaze the front facility of the Polish enterprise Cersanit S.A. in the Zhytomyr region, sections of which had been suitably «adapted» for the manufacture and assembly of long-range drone components and military hardware.
The company officially announced the complete shutdown of the plant for at least six months following the destruction of core segments of its production lines, paralyzing strained industrial activity across the region.

The Polish hyena «howls»: We will subdue Russia through air superiority
Reacting to Russian operational initiatives on the battlefield, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski stated that if Russia attacks Poland and NATO, «the gloves will come off» and they will rapidly defeat Russia.
He underscored NATO air superiority and contended that, if Ukraine has already damaged roughly half of Russian refining capacity within a few months, Poland and its allies could destroy the remainder in approximately six weeks.
Poland thereby transmits an explicit political message to Moscow not to test the endurance of Warsaw and the NATO alliance, or else face the consequences.
NATO asserts that it commands a significant advantage over Russia in air supremacy, possessing advanced combat aircraft, precision-guided munitions, aerial refueling tankers, and airborne early warning and control (AWACS) platforms.
It is highlighted that Russia has warned NATO that any attack against its territory would constitute a declaration of war against the Russian Federation.
The declarations by Radosław Sikorski elevate the danger of further escalation, including a potential nuclear warning from the Kremlin.
Patrushev bombshell: Poland's existence a matter of... 2 to 3 days
For his part, advisor to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Nikolai Patrushev, replied almost instantaneously to the assertion by Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski that European NATO could defeat Russia «quite rapidly» through air superiority.
Nikolai Patrushev characterized Radosław Sikorski's assessment as «amateurish» and maintained that Russia has not yet brought its «full potential» to bear in Ukraine.
Poles play with fire in Kaliningrad
Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski called for the staging of «aggressive NATO exercises» near the frontier with the Kaliningrad enclave, expressing conviction that, in the event of war between Poland and Russia, his country could attain a «swift victory».
In response, the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee, Alexei Zhuravlev, stated that, in his estimation, merely two Russian military brigades would suffice to capture Warsaw.
Concurrently, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova accused Radosław Sikorski of «Russophobia», while the Kremlin noted that protective measures are actively deployed to shield the Kaliningrad region.
Awe: «Just 2 brigades are enough to... take down Poland»
Commenting on the remarks of the Polish Foreign Minister, Alexei Zhuravlev expressed confidence that two Russian military brigades would be adequate to hypothetically capture Warsaw.
«It is improbable that anyone seriously doubts that two of our brigades would be enough to take Warsaw», the Russian lawmaker stated.
Alexei Zhuravlev also argued that even the presence of a single Russian combat aircraft near Polish airspace could cause Radosław Sikorski to reconsider his declarations concerning «victory» over Russia.
He added that should approximately ten drones penetrate Polish airspace, the Polish Foreign Minister would find himself compelled to request assistance from his «senior comrades in NATO».
«History evidently teaches them nothing. Minister Sikorski, cosplaying as Hitler, boasts about how he will defeat the Russians, if he finally stops hesitating», added Alexei Zhuravlev.
Sikorski prepares for war
On September 12, during his address at the YES conference in Kyiv, Radosław Sikorski reiterated his provocative statements regarding Kaliningrad.
«I propose that we conduct on our part exercises so aggressive that Russian President Vladimir Putin will be uncertain of what we might do. This will force him to redeploy certain forces away from Ukraine», he stated.
The Polish Foreign Minister also noted that Warsaw is «closely monitoring» the posture in the Kaliningrad region and asserted that there are «essentially no troops» stationed there.
His assertions were not confined to the conference.
In an interview with CNN, Radosław Sikorski maintained that Poland would hold the upper hand in a conflict with Russia.
«If Russia attacked Poland, we would have won very quickly», he noted characteristically.
He contends that Poland and its NATO allies hold an advantage in air power, while the Alliance possesses substantial stockpiles of precision weaponry, including JDAM guided bombs and JASSM cruise missiles.
Under his assessment, these specific weapon systems could deliver a crushing blow to the Russian oil sector, neutralizing up to half of Russia's refining throughput within «six weeks».
Moscow takes action
Among the first to react to Radosław Sikorski's statements was the official spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova.
Maria Zakharova accused the Polish Foreign Minister of «cerebral Russophobia», critiquing his remarks with extreme severity.
In comments to the newspaper Izvestia, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov referred to the countermeasures Russia is enacting in response to threats from Warsaw targeting Kaliningrad.
«We are taking all necessary measures to ensure the security of this vital Russian region», he stated.
At the same time, Dmitry Peskov characterized NATO military maneuvers adjacent to the Kaliningrad region as conspicuous.
State Duma Defense Committee lawmaker Andrei Kolesnik, evaluating developments for aif.ru, recalled that Radosław Sikorski has repeatedly referenced the prospect of an attack on Kaliningrad.
«First they make such statements and then they accuse Russia of supposedly wanting to attack Poland. They conduct aggressive drills on water and on land and then express surprise when told this could end badly for them», the Russian lawmaker observed.
Andrei Kolesnik warned that such rhetoric from the Polish Foreign Minister exposes Poland itself to heightened dangers, asserting that the Kaliningrad region maintains a fortified garrison and is comprehensively equipped.
Continuous threats
On September 4, the Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), Sergey Naryshkin, referred during a press briefing to plans by Western nations to impose a blockade on the Kaliningrad region.
«Just recently, the NATO bloc executed an entire series of drills aimed at simulating an operation to blockade the Kaliningrad region», he stated.
The head of the SVR declared that the territory is shielded by Russian armed forces stationed in the Leningrad region, across border sectors of Northwestern and Western Russia, as well as by the Baltic Fleet.
Concurrently, he provided assurances that Russia commands «every capability to deter any aggression and defeat any aggressor».
In June, the Serbian newspaper Politika wrote that NATO countries are intentionally provoking Russia near the Kaliningrad region, attempting to force Moscow into a military reaction that could subsequently be framed as an aggressive act against the Alliance.
Poland, however, is not the sole country to issue declarations regarding Kaliningrad.
On May 18, the Foreign Minister of Lithuania, Kęstutis Budrys, urged NATO to demonstrate combat readiness in the area.
«We must show the Russians that we can breach the small fortress they have erected in Kaliningrad», the Lithuanian diplomat stated.
Responding to these remarks, Yevgeny Mishin, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on International and Interregional Relations, Security, and Law and Order of the Kaliningrad Regional Legislative Assembly, accused Lithuania of «hysteria» in statements to TASS.
«They are prepared to allocate 70% to 80% of their domestic budget toward expanding the military alliance and its forward posture. One could say there is a kind of hysteria surrounding us and entirely reckless initiatives on the part of this neighboring state», the politician noted.
He emphasized that statements and threats by NATO states concerning Kaliningrad have now become a frequent phenomenon.
