According to affected bank customers, cybercriminals gained access not only to their names and email addresses, but also to dates of birth, places of work, residential addresses, phone numbers, copies of passports and driver's licenses, photos used for identity verification, bank statements and IBANs, withdrawal information, and financial transaction history, including Bitcoin transactions.

Revolut held "hostage" by extortionists, celebrity data exposed – Relentless questions over customer security

The attackers have already published individual documents of prominent bank customers: tennis player Alexander Shevchenko and Felix Römer, head of the crypto-gaming platform Gamdom/Skinscom. Meanwhile, the criminals are extorting the bank, essentially demanding money while threatening to continue publishing the leaked customer data. Revolut assures that customer biometric data for facial recognition was not compromised and that the attackers did not gain access to customer funds or internal systems. However, the information obtained is sufficient for phishing attacks, identity theft, and other fraudulent activities. Revolut has not yet disclosed the exact number of affected users, claiming only that the total is small.револт.png
