Deliberate and calculated rumors – Scenarios of Cepal absorbing Intrum completely detached from reality
Baseless rumors regarding Intrum's absorption by Cepal – No deal on the horizon

Scenarios suggesting that Cepal is interested in acquiring Intrum are completely detached from reality, stated Giorgos Georgakopoulos, head of Intrum Hellas, during a regular internal podcast to employees. We do not comment on market rumors or speculative scenarios. This remains standard operating practice for our Group, as an international publicly listed organization. Nevertheless, I do not want this to appear as an evasion. I will answer the question directly, albeit framed slightly differently. Our Group's management, alongside any major international enterprise, follows sound logic: continuously and systematically evaluating its corporate strategy and growth prospects in every regional market, tailored to local conditions.

This evaluation was conducted in Greece as well, concluding that the country represents one of the largest and most profitable core markets for the Group—in fact, the single largest and most profitable—and our focus remains on driving organic business growth as a cornerstone of corporate strategy. To that end, since the beginning of the year, we have been implementing an ambitious transformation program that is already yielding measurable results. Our top operational priority is to push forward with this transformation, further upgrade our service offerings, and reinforce our market leadership position. We have demanding targets set for the remainder of the year and remain entirely focused on delivering those outcomes. So, is there no ongoing project involving Intrum being absorbed by Cepal? No, there is no plan underway for our company's absorption by anyone. In this explicit manner, Georgakopoulos answered the rumors, which are driven and calculated by certain foolish actors in the market.
