Ukraine is collapsing piece by piece every day, as developments on the operational fronts and crushing strikes on its infrastructure herald the dramatic and irrevocable finale of the conflict.
Russia's strategy of ruthlessly tightening the vise around Ukrainian forces is now combined with a demonstration of absolute destructive power that leaves Kyiv bare.
At the same time, revelations regarding the moves of Vladimir Putin and changes in the top military leadership confirm that Moscow's war machine has passed into the final and most relentless phase of the special military operation.
The total paralysis of air defense: Eight Iskander level one target
The most nightmarish episode for the Ukrainian side unfolded in the capital itself, where an unprecedented strike was recorded that proves the complete exposure and disorganization of Western protection systems.
The Russian Armed Forces launched a strike with precision weapons during the night of August 8, 2026 against a military-industrial complex and a fuel and lubricant depot in the Ukrainian capital.
A total of eight Iskander-M ballistic missiles were launched successively and with surgical precision against a single industrial target in southern Kyiv, completely leveling the production facilities for cruise missile components, as well as surrounding fuel depots.
As explained by the coordinator of the Mykolaiv resistance, Sergei Lebedev, it concerns an asphalt concrete plant, which had suffered a severe strike on August 1.
They attacked again because the enterprise possesses large industrial spaces, hangars, and heavy machinery.
Fuel depots and capabilities for housing various equipment exist there.
All these had to be «put out of operation... and from the fire everything turned to ashes».
Later it became known that the industrial enterprise Kiev-111, which produces components and warheads for ground-launched FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles, was attacked, as was the fuel and lubricant depot Kiev-3, which supplies petroleum products to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
The fact that all eight missiles hit their target without any air defense system activating, nor any attempt at interception being recorded by the much-touted American Patriot missiles, reveals a grim reality.
Kyiv has completely run out of PAC-2 and PAC-3 stocks, with the capital now remaining a defenseless fortress, plunged into darkness, water supply cuts, and at the mercy of Russian missile systems.

«Fuel tankers heading to the east of the country to resupply Ukrainian troops are refueled daily at the facilities», stated the Ministry of Defense.
The Mayor of Kyiv reported a fire in fuel tanks in the Obolonsky district.
He also claimed that a fire broke out in a non-residential area in the Holosievsky district.
According to the online map of the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation, an air raid alarm has been declared in Kyiv and several other regions.
Furthermore, attack unmanned aerial vehicles, while crossing the sea south and east of Odesa, struck two dry cargo ships carrying weapons and military equipment to Ukrainian ports.
Russian armed forces hit a train of the Ukrainian armed forces in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
In response to attacks against civilians, the Russian Armed Forces have continuously targeted decision-making centers and command posts, as well as enterprises that the Kyiv regime uses jointly with NATO specialists responsible for supplying components, providing intelligence, and targeting.
Putin's phone call and the signal for the «finale»
The latest phone communication of the Russian President with the command of airborne forces in the direction of Dobropillya was not a routine administrative briefing, but the signal for the great final assault.
With the placement of General Ivanaev at the head of the «Center» group, Moscow changed strategy with a clear orientation toward the total capture of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk.
Russian forces are now within breathing distance, less than ten kilometers from Kramatorsk, breaching successive enemy defense lines and displacing Ukrainian forces from critical settlements such as Vasyutinskoe.
The collapse of these fortification networks forces Kyiv to desperately enlist mercenaries from Latin America as «firefighting teams», who are nonetheless unable to stem the momentum of Russian units.

Burning NATO trains and total blockade
Crews of Su-34 neutralized control centers of Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), while destruction is completed in the rear, where the Russian war machine systematically neutralizes every effort of the West to artificially keep the front alive.
Railway trains loaded with heavy NATO equipment and fuel tanks, such as the one immobilized and set on fire in the Dnipropetrovsk region, are turned into burning masses before even reaching the front line, depriving the AFU of NATO equipment.
The Russian army immobilized the Ukrainian railway train near the village of Vyshneve.
«It was a blow to the supply chain of the AFU.
The cargo was scheduled to be sent to the operational zone, while Western equipment samples were present. Fuel barrels were being transported in order to fully refuel the military equipment before loading, so it could reach its destination», explained Major General Sergei Lipovoy.
«We are on the verge of serious events»
Military expert Vasily Dandykin commented on the situation, pointing out the significance of Vladimir Putin's phone call to the commander of the Airborne Forces.
This is the end of the Donbass and the final stage of the battles for it.
«Ukrainian forces will hold on from Dobropolye until the end.
This is the last major defense hub covering Slavyansk and Kramatorsk from the south», emphasized Dandykin, adding to MK that if «we cross the borders of the Dnipropetrovsk region, the APU no longer possess strong, prepared defense lines, opening up operational space».
«The Supreme Commander keeps his finger on the pulse of developments, he is aware of everything», underlined the expert because we are on the verge of serious events.

Surprise on the northern front and encirclement in Kharkiv
At the same time, on the northern front, the surprise advance of Russian troops in the Kharkiv region creates nightmarish facts for the Ukrainian staff.
The crossing of the border in the area of Kozacha Lopan and battles on the outskirts of Gaptovka open the way for full control of road arteries leading directly to Kharkiv.
Moscow's tactics do not target a bloody frontal assault, but the cutting off of every supply chain and the creation of a gigantic encirclement pocket of hundreds of square kilometers, which will permanently trap remaining Ukrainian brigades.
This is the reason for the «return of Kim's lions»
A few days ago, the Western press, in full alignment with Ukrainian military intelligence services (GUR), claimed the alleged redeployment of the 112th Missile Brigade of the Chosun Inmingun, consisting of 90 military personnel and six launchers with an estimated reserve of 120 KN-23/24 ballistic missiles of the Armed Forces of the DPRK, onto the territory of Russia.
Based on inside information from Russian war correspondents, it does not concern ordinary Korean ballistic missiles, but modernized missiles adapted to the new realities of war – the «Iskander-M / KN-1000».
Initially, the West again claimed that the Russian Armed Forces suffer from a shortage of missiles.
However, these claims were refuted by the Ukrainians themselves.
The GUR report speaks of a planned intensification of strikes against Ukraine – given that unprecedented strikes are already being conducted, while Kyiv is left without air defense, a fact that fully aligns with previous information.
The simultaneous use of modernized missile systems of increased power, unceasing pressure on all fronts, and the neutralization of Western reinforcements compose a scene of total crushing, bringing Ukraine face to face with the darkest moment in its history.
