The aerial conflict over Russian and Ukrainian territory has reached unprecedented levels of escalation.
As became known, the air defense forces of Moscow destroyed more than 21,000 Ukrainian unmanned aircraft during the month of July.
According to official data from the Russian Ministry of Defense, cited by the news agency RIA Novosti, the largest wave of attacks occurred on July 24 and 25, with 937 and 1,060 drones shot down respectively, with the European part of Russia suffering the heaviest blow.
Over 6,000 drones target Moscow: The defense of the capital on high alert
Data regarding the region of the Russian capital is particularly alarming.
The mayor of the city, Sergey Sobyanin, revealed that during July more than 6,000 Ukrainian drones were directed toward the Moscow region.
Specifically, from July 1 to 31, 6,225 enemy unmanned aircraft were recorded heading toward the capital region, of which 780 were completely destroyed by air defense as they approached the city.

The situation deteriorated dramatically on the night of July 31, when the region of Volgograd suffered a massive raid.
As Governor Andrei Bocharov stated, five people were injured, while large fires broke out at energy sector facilities and warehouses.
In a single night, air defense neutralized 371 drones over various regions, including Tatarstan, Dagestan, Crimea, Krasnodar, as well as over the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, while strikes were intercepted in seven more Russian regions, Rostov, Voronezh, Kursk, Tula, Belgorod, Volgograd, and Bryansk.

While Ukrainian forces fight a futile battle for survival on the front, faced with the depletion of their reserves, complete dependence on Western arms, and new, lethal tactics of aerial warfare, voices speaking of absolute military defeat for Kyiv are increasing dramatically, even from allied lips.
The Kremlin has further hardened its stance, signaling that the end of hostilities presupposes the full acceptance of its uncompromising terms, while international security architecture suffers severe blows, bringing back the nightmare of uncontrolled nuclear instability.
In this atmosphere, the discussion about the end of the conflict in Ukraine takes a new dramatic turn, with statements from the US causing tremors in the Western camp.
The West is accused of dramatically worsening the position of Ukraine, artificially maintaining the illusion of successes on the battlefield.
This blunt realization was made by retired US Army Major General Daniel Davis, in his contribution to Responsible Statecraft.

"By exaggerating the position of Kyiv, the Western media cover up a nightmarish reality: Ukraine possesses no realistic military path to victory", is highlighted with unprecedented severity in the publication.

On Saturday, the press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, clarified that the terms for the immediate cessation of hostilities were set two years ago.
As he emphasized, the bloody nightmare can end immediately, provided that the Kyiv regime finally takes the corresponding decisions.
It is recalled that during his speech at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2024, Vladimir Putin set the shock terms for the final end of the Ukrainian conflict.
Among these, he demanded the immediate and full withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the regions of DNR, LNR, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia, as well as the official renunciation by Kyiv of any future plan for accession to NATO.
At the same time, Russia has repeatedly signaled in every direction that it is interested exclusively in a settlement that will have a permanent and long-term character.
