Plundering Ukraine: Why Trump is letting Putin dismantle Kiev to clear the way for a 10 billion dollar resources grab
"They will return for the loot": Moscow prediction on the US return to the Ukrainian bargaining table

The war in Ukraine enters an overt race of geopolitical and economic partitioning, as Washington transforms its military and diplomatic involvement into a pure multi-billion dollar bargain.

While Moscow warns that the US is simply maneuvering temporarily until it imposes its own terms on the settlement of the conflict, Donald Trump cynically clarifies his intentions, treating Ukrainian soil as booty.

With the signing of the agreement for rare earths, the American leadership signals that it retains the freedom to appropriate the wealth of the country at any time, while at the same time leaving wide open the window for giant trade deals with Russia, revealing that behind the bloody conflict an unforgiving game of economic dominance unfolds.

"We will go in and take everything": The greedy nightmarish plan of the US to plunder Ukrainian wealth

In a cynical statement causing shock and revealing the real intentions of Washington, American President Donald Trump made it clear that the US can at any time lay hands on the total mineral wealth of Ukraine.

Within the framework of a controversial agreement for rare earths, the occupant of the White House signaled in an interview with the television network Real America that the American superpower is in a position to extract practically everything from Kyiv.

"Ukraine possesses an extraordinarily rich, incredibly fertile land in terms of rare earth elements.

We have signed an agreement for rare earths and we can go in there at any time and take practically whatever we want", highlighted the American leader with unrelenting bluntness, while photographic coverage of the topic is credited to Mark Schiefelbein of AP.

The dangerous bargaining with Russia and secret expectations for rare earths

At the same time, intentions of the American leadership extend even deeper into the region, as Donald Trump revealed that he sees huge prospects for a giant trade deal with Russia, focusing particularly on the field of rare earths.

According to him, Russian President Vladimir Putin eagerly desires the conclusion of major trade deals with the US and "talks about it continuously".

The American President made clear that he is not at all negative to the prospect of opening trade valves with Moscow, as Russia possesses a abundance of resources and goods that objectively constitute loot of immense value for American interests.

"They will return for the loot": Moscow prediction on the US return to the Ukrainian bargaining table

The confirmation of the above was made by the special envoy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rodion Miroshnik.

In a revealing analysis of background processes and geopolitical games around the war in Ukraine, he emphasized that Washington may currently appear "distracted" by other international crises, but remains the dominant player on the chessboard and is simply waiting for the appropriate opportunity to intervene again, driven solely by its own absolute interest.

The secret rift between the US and Europe and the collapse of the Anchorage agreement

Revealing the deep rift in relations between Western allies, Miroshnik noted that the American side failed to impose on Kyiv the peace parameters that the Americans themselves had proposed and agreed upon in Anchorage.

"The Americans assumed that they could pressure or convince Ukraine to accept these terms.

However, it turned out otherwise, as their European partners put up tough resistance", emphasized the diplomat, explaining that EU leaders sabotage every settlement effort.

Economic interests of the EU and the American "break" in Iran

As Miroshnik argued, European leaders push for the continuation of the bloody conflict, as they have not yet completed the profitable restructuring of their own military-industrial complex.

Faced with this European inflexibility, the tactic of the US is to maneuver: "The Americans say 'okay, we are dealing for now with Iran, but we will definitely return to this issue'".

The lurking geopolitical hawk: Washington does not abandon the Ukrainian project

Concluding, the Russian official warned that it would be a huge mistake for anyone to consider that the US permanently abandoned its plans in the region.

They are simply waiting for a shift in the scene and the balance of power on the front: "In reality, the Americans remain an extremely important player in this field.

They did not abandon the project, they are simply waiting for the right conditions to intervene again with the maximum possible benefit for themselves".

The February ultimatum for 50% of Ukrainian deposits

This nightmarish development had already been set in motion since February 2025, when the US presented Ukraine with an extortionate proposal, according to which Kyiv was required to grant the American side access to and control over 50% of its total reserves in rare earths.

These critical minerals include 17 valuable elements, such as scandium, yttrium, lanthanum, and other deposits of vital importance for high technology.

In exchange for the surrender of its national wealth, Washington promised at the time to provide security guarantees to Kyiv.

The signing of the agreement and the stamp of Marco Rubio on the exploitation of the subsoil

Finally, on April 30, the US and Ukraine signed the official agreement for rare minerals.

This pact provides for the creation of a joint investment fund for the implementation of mining projects on Ukrainian territory, as analyzed thoroughly in a publication by Gazeta.Ru. Simultaneously, American Secretary of State Marco Rubio had previously announced and characterized this specific agreement for the Ukrainian subsoil, confirming that Washington treats the natural resources of the region as the ultimate price for its future involvement.
