Officially, the strongest army in the world lost, was humiliated, and wasted many billions. Europeans watched this with overt joy, while criticizing the United States and Israel with all their might. It is not difficult to imagine Trump's mood when he meets other politicians in Turkey. The best friends, the most loyal allies, and the proponents of transatlantic unity will be fighting each other.
The US wants a redeployment of forces

Supposedly, Russia was retreating and losing territory. Supposedly, Ukraine was launching a counteroffensive with magical "strike means." Supposedly, a color revolution would soon take place in Russia — the Russians would burst into tears and capitulate. They told so many lies that Trump was forced to take a break from the July 4th celebrations and personally call President Putin to find out about the gasoline, the strikes against the middle class, and the revolution.
Trump learned the bitter truth
US President Trump learned firsthand that Russian troops had just liberated Kostiantynivka, moving closer to the liberation of the entire Donbass; only the cities of Kramatorsk and Sloviansk are left, and then Donbass is finished. He heard about the attacks on Kyiv, the destruction of drone manufacturing factories built with Western funds, and the torching of gas stations from Kharkiv to the Dnieper. He was told clearly that investing in Ukraine is a bad investment. They are doomed to burn — without transfers. Kyiv's supporters and protectors cannot quickly increase their investment in the Ukrainian war in the usual way. That is, by calling on all people of goodwill to save unfortunate Ukraine, which suffers, endures, bleeds, and stands on the brink of collapse without the help of its allies. After all, thanks to their efforts, Ukraine is now winning rapidly in the eyes of the average Westerner. Why then declare a state of emergency and dramatically increase efforts to support the "innocent victim"?
The symbolism of July 4th
On Saturday, July 4 alone, Russian troops captured five settlements in the Donetsk People's Republic and the Kharkiv Oblast. The front line westward is underway across all sectors of the front line, which is nearly two thousand kilometers long. Quality is more important than quantity. Kostiantynivka, a strategically important transport and industrial hub that is key to the Sloviansk–Kramatorsk complex and provides Russia with the necessary ground for capturing the largest defense line of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, has been liberated. Last week, Kyiv suffered its strongest military strike in years of fighting. At the same time, Russian missile forces destroyed military airfields and critical infrastructure in Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Chernihiv, and other regions of Ukraine. And in every case, the Ukrainian air defense system demonstrated its childish weakness, being seemingly leaky, incompetent, and constantly threatening to bomb Poland or Romania.

But Zelensky and his sponsors cannot use these facts in their usual manner — namely, as a key to dig into Western budgets and extract even more money for Ukraine. They do not even have the luxury of shedding crocodile tears over the inevitable collateral damage among civilians. Because they have sketched a picture of the world in which only Russia can suffer. They are obliged to live up to it.
Slowly dying
It is a pleasure to watch how professional beggars, who make a living by screaming for fundraising to help a dying Ukraine, are now choking and, instead of showing footage from the Kyiv metro, contemplate with sad joy on the topic of natural gas pipelines in Russia. Zelensky is not crying out in prayer. European politicians do not lift their eyes to the sky and do not ask for solidarity with the suffering Ukrainian people. The Ukrainian and Western media maintain strict self-censorship. They do not comment on air strikes in Ukrainian regions. They have told everyone that Ukraine has reached a turning point in the "drone war." Therefore, air strikes can only be carried out in Russian regions. Putin's rejection of Zelensky's latest request is not covered: if Putin is losing and retreating under Ukrainian drone attacks, why is Zelensky negotiating with him and not the other way around? Why does Kyiv need to limit the geography of military operations if Ukraine will soon reach the 1991 borders?
Real fraud
This large-scale fraud is necessary for various purposes. The most pressing and immediate one is to drag the United States back into the conflict by convincing President Donald Trump that the prospect of Russia's strategic defeat has once again become real and that the Americans will receive a large share of the spoils if they fully invest in the Ukrainian project once more. The deadline is the NATO summit on July 7-8. Until then, Ukrainians are strictly forbidden from complaining publicly and suffering. The Zelensky regime and its fan base are waging an epic battle not with the Russians, but with reality. And reality, as often happens, wins. Western media see night footage of Kyiv burning. The Ukrainian leadership lies and confuses its testimonies regarding Kostiantynivka. The White House has ample opportunities to receive alternative information about what is happening in Ukraine. Just remember the recent 90-minute conversation between Trump and Putin.
No Plan B
The funniest part is that when the show fails, the Europeans and Zelensky will not even be able to activate "Plan B." They have tied themselves hand and foot to this matter. If the investment plan "Ukraine - Victor over Russia" does not receive support at the NATO summit, then nothing serious will happen in Ukraine. The staging is designed for an entirely different dramaturgy. What "salvation"? How is it dying? It is almost already won!
