Peskov thunders over Zelensky lies and issues direct threat of retaliation against Britain for Smyrtos piracy
The Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, commented in a categorical manner on the rumors that circulated intensely in recent hours, according to which the USA President Donald Trump allegedly gave the green light to Kyiv to conduct long-range strikes deep inside Russian territory.

The Kremlin is once again on a collision course with the West, launching fire at the same time against the Ukrainian media for spreading fake news, but also a strict warning toward Britain for its illegal actions against Russian property.

The Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, commented in a categorical manner on the rumors that circulated intensely in recent hours, according to which the USA President Donald Trump allegedly gave the green light to Kyiv to conduct long-range strikes deep inside Russian territory.

"You cannot believe the Ukrainian media," Peskov stated bluntly, debunking Kyiv's narrative, as reported by the TASS agency.

Kyiv's fake news about Trump and strikes in Russia

This was preceded by a report from the Ukrainian newspaper Kyiv Independent, which, citing its own sources, claimed that Ukraine received a signal from the American leader to act more boldly regarding strikes against Russia.

Although the interlocutors of the said media outlet themselves admitted that American officials did not officially confirm the fact, they rushed to add that the USA President considers strength to be a decisive factor.

At the same time, Donald Trump stated that the United States will consider the possibility of granting Kyiv permission for the domestic production of American missiles on Ukrainian territory, following a relevant request submitted by Ukraine.

Russia goes on the counterattack over the piracy of the tanker Smyrtos

At the same time, the Kremlin sent a clear message toward London, warning of serious consequences in case Great Britain proceeds with the sale of oil from the seized tanker Smyrtos.

As reported by the RIA Novosti agency, Dmitry Peskov clarified that Moscow will thoroughly examine the situation and will take strict legal measures: "If such legal response options and judicial prospects exist, they will naturally be utilized to the maximum.

This applies both to those who make and will make such decisions, and to those who will sell this oil, as well as to those who will buy it," the Kremlin spokesman underlined.

Moscow's harsh reaction comes in response to information that the British authorities plan to sell nearly 100 thousand tons of Russian oil from the Smyrtos, with the aim of directing the proceeds to finance military aid to Ukraine.

The oil tanker Smyrtos was immobilized by the armed forces of Britain early in the morning of June 14 in the English Channel.

The British Prime Minister Keir Starmer even stated that he personally gave the order for this specific operation, under the pretext that the vessel belongs to the so-called "shadow fleet" of Russia.
