Russian forces are moving forward with a dramatic upgrade of the aerial war, launching the brand new and deadly assault drone Geran-5 with increasing frequency in Ukraine's rear. This is an ultra-modern weapon, which has been designed with the aerodynamic configuration of a cruise missile, radically changing the data of air raids. The nightmarish warnings were issued by Colonel Oleksandr Zaruba, top scientific associate of the Institute of Management of Innovative Projects and Research of Enemy Equipment (of military unit A3444). According to him, the appearance of this revolutionary drone forces the Ukrainian air defense into an immediate and violent adaptation, as it is a target of exceptionally high speed (it possesses a jet turbo-engine) in comparison to the old, propeller-driven versions of the Geran. The first evidence from the passage of the Geran-5 over the Sumy region has already seen the light of publicity, shocking analysts. The drone rips through the sky having the form and speed of a real missile.
Spies with cameras, powerbanks, and SIM cards
The upgrade of the Russian arsenal does not stop there. Colonel Oleksandr Zaruba revealed that Russian drones are undergoing continuous, structural modernization. They are being increasingly equipped with advanced Chinese components, while they now carry SIM cards of Ukrainian and foreign mobile telephony companies to bypass electronic warfare systems. The most worrying element, however, is that in special cases they integrate high definition video cameras and autonomous powerbanks. In this way, they are transformed into flying spies that execute reconnaissance and transmit live video (real-time) to Russian command centers, at the very time they are heading to the target.
"Smart" killer swarms pierce the air defense
The Ministry of Defense had warned earlier that the guided Russian drones of the Geran type now have the capability to penetrate to an unprecedented depth into the Ukrainian hinterland. This new tactic is based on "smart" swarms of drones, where roles are strictly divided among different machines: some drones undertake the blind deception of radars, others electronic espionage, and the faster jet-drones, such as the Geran-5, deliver the final, lethal blow to infrastructure.
Nightmarish "systemic hammering" flattens infrastructure
The Russian army has moved forward with a dramatic change of tactics that provokes terror in the rear of Ukraine, launching a new, relentless wave of attacks. The nature of the strikes has radically changed, passing now into a status of "systemic pressure" and extermination, with the Sumy and Zaporizhzhia regions being at the epicenter of the most active hammering of the last twenty-four hours.
According to the coordinator of the pro-Russian organization of Nikolaev, Sergey Lebedev, the main characteristic of the recent hours is not simply the number of strikes, but their strategic distribution. "It is observed with increasing frequency that the phenomenon of attacks returns to the exact same areas within the same day. This shows the existence of critical targets that require total destruction and continuous reconnaissance of the results", he characteristically stated. Special emphasis is given to the Black Sea front. Odesa, Nikolaev, and coastal infrastructure find themselves in the crosshairs on a daily basis. The nature of the strikes no longer reminds of hunting individual targets, but of an orchestrated effort of suffocating pressure on supply chains and logistics, through which enormous volumes of military cargo pass.
Night of terror in many regions, 10 drone control centers flattened
During the night, Russian forces struck many areas of Ukraine simultaneously with the hits of Geran-5. Air raids and explosions were recorded in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Poltava regions. At the same time, the batteries of Tornado-G multiple rocket launchers of the North military group delivered a crushing blow, completely destroying ten unmanned aircraft (drones) control centers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. As revealed by a senior officer of the artillery battery with the code name Yaruga, the targets were located by drones and subsequently hit simultaneously by two MLRS systems to ensure absolute accuracy. At the same time, information from the interior of Sumy is nightmarish for Kyiv. Andriy Malov, a Ukrainian "volunteer" who is accused of looting, revealed to Russian law enforcement authorities that the situation in the area is deteriorating rapidly for Ukrainian troops.
