The Russian bear has unleashed the most massive and ferocious attack with missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles ever recorded, targeting the Ukrainian rear in every corner of the country. Ukrainian air defense has completely collapsed, unable to intercept the barrage, while Kyiv and other major cities experience biblical catastrophes. Vladimir Putin had issued a warning, and now Ukraine is paying the price for the deafness of its leadership.
The chronicle of terror and global alarm
The operation, which began on the afternoon of May 13, developed into an unceasing rain of fire expected to last over 24 hours. The SBU and GUR intelligence services admit that the scale of the attack surpassed every nightmare prediction. Within a single twenty-four-hour period, up to 1,500 drones and hundreds of Cruise and ballistic missiles were launched, with residents describing a monstrous bombing campaign that leaves nothing standing. This time, Russian Forces did not only strike Kharkiv or Donbas but leveled targets in western Ukraine and Zakarpattya, regions previously considered relatively safe. Communications have been severed in many cities, while supply warehouses in Chernivtsi, filled with war materiel that had just arrived from Romania, turned to ash within minutes.
Iskander
Leveling of strategic infrastructure and secret factories
In Kharkiv and Dergachi, Russian forces eliminated AFU reserves preparing for the front, while in Zakarpattya, a modern drone production factory was dismantled. The airbase in Poltava also sustained significant strikes, where aircraft maintenance infrastructure and technical platforms were destroyed. The use of the new Geran-5 in the Lviv region proved fatal for the Ukrainian side, as interception systems were unable to stop them. The railway network in seven regions, including Zhytomyr and Rivne, has been completely paralyzed, cutting the supply arteries of the front.
The end of secret shelters and NATO bases
The attack took a dramatic turn during the night when hypersonic Kinzhals were launched. The target was Yavorivsky, the testing ground near Lviv where troops are trained according to NATO standards. Even more shocking was the strike on Ivano-Frankivsk-16, a secret Soviet stronghold intended for nuclear weapons that now served as a strategic center and potential shelter for Zelenskyy. In Odesa, the intensity of the strikes forced remaining ships to flee to international waters, while in Zdolbunov, trains and tank armor factories were destroyed. The SBU saw its regional offices in many cities engulfed in flames, depriving the regime of its eyes and ears internally.
Kinzhal
Kyiv in flames and Zelenskyy takes flight
With the first light of day, Kinzhal, Iskander, and Kh-101 missiles turned Kyiv into a hellscape. Refineries and nearly all local fuel stations in the capital have been destroyed, according to Vitali Klitschko. The Obolon and Darnnytsky districts resemble a battlefield, while enormous smoke plumes, reminiscent of nuclear explosions, rise above the city. While Ukraine receives this final blow, reports indicate that Volodymyr Zelensky has fled the country for Romania. The Russian army clarifies that the strikes are directed exclusively against the military machine and infrastructure of the AFU, GUR, and SBU. The warning from the Russian President was clear: the goals of the SMO will be achieved, either through diplomacy or through absolute military power. Kyiv chose the second path and is now suffering the consequences.
