The 36th day of the failed military operation “Epic Rage” by the United States and Israel in Iran, finds American and Israeli forces trapped in a military and communication nightmare unlike anything the West has experienced in recent decades.
What began as a promise of “surgical” strikes has turned into an asymmetric war of attrition, where Iran holds the strategic upper hand.
From the burning fuselages of C-130 and Black Hawk aircraft south of Isfahan, to the revealing admissions of CIA officials about the resounding failure of American air defense, the image of the all-powerful superpower is collapsing.
The thriller involving the missing pilots of the F-15E and the desperate efforts of Donald Trump to manage the defeat through social media compose the scene of a historic debacle.
At the same time, the Axis of Resistance is expanding its “bank of targets,” now threatening total energy blackout in Israel, proving that Tehran not only endures but is preparing a “big surprise” that will permanently change the map of the Middle East.
IRGC: Destruction of two American C-130 south of Isfahan
The desperate attempt of America to rescue the pilot of the downed fighter jet ended in a crushing failure.
The entry of enemy aircraft into the heart of the territory of Iran triggered the immediate and coordinated response of national forces.
In a large-scale joint operation, involving the air force, the army, and the special forces commandos Faraj, the American aircraft were completely neutralized, with Washington suffering a humiliating defeat that evokes memories of the historic failure of the operation in Tabas.
In an attempt to manage impressions and downplay the scale of the loss, Donald Trump resorted to social media.
Through a post on Twitter, the American president claimed that he gave the order for a special operation with the sole purpose of rescuing the pilot of the aircraft that crashed on Iranian soil.
This rhetoric is perceived by Tehran as a clumsy maneuver to embellish the military debacle.
The Iranian side did not hesitate to launch a personal attack against the American leader, characterizing Donald Trump as a “gambler” who ignores the lessons of history.

Hezbollah: Barrage of strikes against Israeli military targets
According to official announcements reported by the Tasnim News Agency, the forces of the Lebanese resistance launched a series of coordinated attacks against military concentrations and infrastructure of Israel. At the center of the operations was Ghadmatha Hill, in the border town of Ainata in southern Lebanon, where the organization’s fighters struck a concentration of Israeli forces with missiles. At the same time, military installations and armored vehicles in the areas of Bayadah, Maroun al-Ras, as well as in the Sidr sector of Ainata were targeted.
Hezbollah intensified pressure on Israel using unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles against positions in the northern part of occupied Palestine. Specifically, an attack with a suicide drone against the military center Zara'it was announced, while the settlement of Al-Malikiyah also came under missile strikes, targeting concentrations of soldiers. It is worth noting that the Sidr area in Ainata was targeted for the second consecutive time within the same morning, highlighting the intensity of the clashes on Lebanese territory.
Within just twenty-four hours, the organization announced the execution of a total of 41 military operations against Israeli positions. Despite the claims of the leadership of Israel regarding the weakening of Hezbollah, the Israeli Channel 12, citing assessments by security services, officially admitted that the organization remains fully prepared for a long-term confrontation. Military analyses indicate that Hezbollah maintains hundreds of rocket launch platforms north of the Litani River.
The estimates of the Israeli army are revealing regarding the scale of the resistance’s capabilities, as it is considered that Hezbollah can sustain a rate of approximately 200 attacks daily against the occupied territories for a period of five months. At the same time, sources from Channel 12 point out that even in the event of achieving a ceasefire with Iran, the direct confrontation with Hezbollah in Lebanon is expected to continue, and indeed with increasing intensity.
Larry Johnson (CIA): Our heavy losses in Iran are due to our arrogance... it consumed us!
Larry Johnson, former officer and analyst of the CIA, argued that the loss of extremely expensive American military equipment in operations against Iran is the direct result of overestimating the capabilities of Washington, according to what is reported by the Tasnim News Agency.
Referring to the destruction of American assets, including several fighter aircraft, Larry Johnson stated to the news agency Novosti that the problem does not lie in the lack of preparation of the forces, but in excessive optimism regarding the strength of the American military.
Before the start of the attacks, the belief prevailed that the anti-missile systems of the United States would be highly effective against Iran, an assessment that ultimately proved to be completely incorrect.
The experienced American analyst emphasized that US bases in the wider region remain extremely vulnerable to Iranian strikes. He even revealed that, even when air defense systems are active, their effectiveness does not exceed 20%.
This practically means that 80% of Iranian missiles penetrate American defense without any obstacle, causing devastating strikes on the forces of Washington.

Two Israeli power generation stations on the “target list”
Tehran responds with a direct threat to the information reported by Reuters regarding Israeli plans for an attack on the energy facilities of Iran.
Sources close to the decision-making centers of the Islamic Republic revealed that two strategically important power generation stations, which constitute the main suppliers of electricity to Israel, have already been added to the “arsenal of targets” of the joint headquarters of the Axis of Resistance (Joint Resistance Front War Room).
This move falls within the framework of the doctrine of “reciprocal response” adopted by Iran, sending a clear message of readiness against any attempt to strike the country’s vital infrastructure.
The targeting of the Israeli power grid is considered by Iranian analysts as the most effective deterrent safeguard, emphasizing that any hostile action against Iranian energy resources will lead to an immediate and total blackout in the Jewish state.
The escalation of this rhetoric reflects the absolute determination of Tehran to respond in a symmetrical manner to any threat against its national security.
Esmaeil Saqab Esfahani (Vice President Iran): Control of the Strait of Hormuz remains in the hands of Iran
Esmaeil Saqab Esfahani, vice president and head of the Energy Policy Organization and Strategic Management of Iran, in his speech emphasized that the country’s officials choose to live among the people under normal conditions, avoiding shelters and protected spaces.
He clarified, however, that specific replacement solutions have been provided for every official, thus ensuring that the state mechanism will continue to operate with even greater determination under any circumstance.
Regarding the enemy’s threats against the energy infrastructure of Iran, Esfahani made it clear that the Islamic Republic possesses the capability for a mutual and deterrent response.
He warned that any attack on the country’s energy resources will be met with a decisive and proportional counterattack, underlining the readiness of Tehran’s defense doctrine.
Particular emphasis was placed on the situation prevailing in the Strait of Hormuz, with Esfahani stating categorically that the management of this strategic passage lies exclusively in the hands of Iran.
According to him, the enemies will never manage to dominate the region, as their various military and political efforts have failed resoundingly so far. He further explained that international experience has taught Iran that goodwill alone does not guarantee results, real deterrence stems only from the power and authority of the Islamic Republic.
