Trump’s nuclear-grade rhetoric: US President threatens to wipe Iran off the map and obliterate Kharg Island
The US President issues a fresh wave of aggressive threats against Tehran.

In an utterly inflammatory social media outburst, US President Donald Trump has lashed out following Iran's categorical rejection of recent negotiations and the prospect of a deal. In a new intervention via Truth Social, Trump "warned" that if an agreement with Iran is not reached soon, the US will proceed with the "blowing up and total elimination" of all the country's energy facilities and Kharg Island. "Great progress has been made but, if for any reason a deal is not reached soon—which it probably will—and if the Strait of Hormuz does not immediately become 'Open for Business,' we will conclude our wonderful 'stay' in Iran by blowing up and completely eliminating all power plants, oil wells, and Kharg Island (and possibly all desalination plants!), which we have deliberately not 'touched' yet," the US President stated.DT_15_1.JPG

He further claimed that these attacks would serve as retaliation for the "many" American soldiers killed by the Iranian regime during its 47-year "Reign of Terror." The American President additionally noted that his country is in "serious discussions" with a "NEW AND MORE REASONABLE" regime. This latest Trump tirade follows Iran's dismissal of proposals characterized as a US ultimatum. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghai described the proposals as "unrealistic, unjustified, and excessive," a development that confirmed the deep chasm between Iran and the US.

"American officials say whatever they want. We have had no negotiations with the US. Everything that has been sent were US requests via third parties. Our stance is clear: under these conditions of aggression, our entire effort is focused on self-defense. We do not consider these claims credible," he stated pointedly. The Iranian side clarifies that no direct talks have taken place between the two countries, while noting that there has been an exchange of messages through mediators, a fact that keeps communication channels open in a particularly strained diplomatic environment. Iran, in fact, does not limit itself to rejecting American positions but has also moved forward with counter-proposals, which, according to the same sources, are also circulated via third countries, strengthening the scenario of indirect negotiation.

The "Farce" Proposal

It is noted that Trump’s proposal provided, among other things, that:

  1. Iran must dismantle its nuclear capabilities.

  2. Iran must commit to never seeking to acquire nuclear weapons.

  3. There will be no uranium enrichment on Iranian soil.

  4. Iran must deliver its stockpile of approximately 450 kg of 60% enriched uranium to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), according to an agreed-upon timetable.

  5. Nuclear facilities at Natanz, Isfahan, and Fordow must be dismantled.

  6. The IAEA must have full access, transparency, and oversight within Iran.

  7. Iran must abandon its regional "proxy" support doctrine.

  8. Iran must stop the funding, guidance, and equipment of its regional allies/armed groups.

  9. The Strait of Hormuz must remain open and function as a free maritime corridor.

  10. The Iranian missile program must be limited in both range and quantity, with specific limits to be determined at a later stage.

  11. Any future use of missiles will be limited exclusively to self-defense purposes.

The proposal also included... incentives for Iran, specifically:

  • Full lifting of sanctions imposed by the international community.

  • US support for the development of a peaceful nuclear program, including power generation at the Bushehr nuclear plant.

  • Abolition of the "snapback" mechanism, which allows for the automatic reinstatement of sanctions in case of non-compliance.

Plans for a ground invasion

Iran appears ready to confront a possible deployment of ground operations by the US. Tehran warned of a fierce reaction in the event of an invasion of its territory by American forces, at a time when Washington is reinforcing its troop presence and considering scenarios for limited ground operations in the region for the coming weeks. Although Iran seems not to seek a land conflict, it declares itself ready to respond militarily if US troops are deployed. Furthermore, Houthi missiles launched against Israel signal further escalation in the region.260326-Mohammad-Bagher-Ghalibaf-ew-454p-7963c9_1.webp

A tough message to Donald Trump regarding this scenario was sent today by the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, accusing the US of playing a double game, appearing willing to negotiate on one hand while secretly planning a ground attack against Iran. He specifically stated that Iranian forces are ready for the arrival of American troops. In statements broadcast by the IRNA news agency, Ghalibaf criticized Trump for manifesting a willingness to negotiate with Iran while simultaneously "secretly planning an attack on the ground."
