In a particularly sharp and charged statement on the podcast of Jillian Michaels, “Keeping It Real”, Donald Trump Jr., son of United States President Donald Trump, launched a fierce attack against those supporting the sending of American aid to Ukraine, speaking of a major scandal fueled by Western taxpayers’ money.
According to Trump Jr., the financial assistance sent to Kyiv is transformed into luxuries for the Ukrainian elite, while simultaneously functioning as a tool of enrichment for the political and military industrial complex of the Washington Beltway.
Trump Jr. argued that prolonging the war is a gold mine for specific circles in Washington:
“They make a lot of money as long as the war continues.
They steal that money and we simply have a major corruption scandal,” he said, adding that as long as there are interests profiting from the conflict, American involvement will continue.
He even praised his father, President Trump, for his stance toward wars: “My father ends wars that nobody wants to end, because during times of peace there is no money to be made,” he noted, recalling Trump’s statement: “I just want the killing to stop.”
Trump Jr. also targeted with particular intensity the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, even citing a recent statement by his deputy, according to which the country is “bleeding” and struggling to sustain the war.
Despite the difficulties, he claimed, the Ukrainian authorities are asking for “a few more trillions” from the United States, something Trump Jr. considers an attempt to prolong the war for personal gain.
In a harsh tone, he questioned the narrative of “defending democracy”, noting that there are no elections in Ukraine: “They didn’t save democracy, they abolished it because Zelensky, who is incredibly unpopular, would not win,” he declared.
Trump Jr. also pointed out that a large part of eastern Ukraine consists of populations of Russian origin, arguing that many of them would prefer integration into Russia in order to stop the bloodshed: “People do not want to be killed.
More than half would accept becoming part of Russia to end this madness,” he commented.
The Ukrainian plates in Monaco
To support his claims about corruption, Trump Jr. revealed a personal experience from a recent trip to Monaco: “For every two cars, you would see one Italian supercar with Ukrainian plates: Pagani, Bugatti,” he said characteristically.
Comparing today’s image with his visit to Ukraine in the early 2000s, he argued that such a sudden display of wealth can only come from misuse of Western aid.
Trump Jr. openly accused the American military industrial complex, revealing that even Republicans ask him to support the aid because “some of that money returns to American companies”.
“Yes, to make missiles. I would prefer we made cars,” he replied.
He also estimated that the overall American financial involvement has reached “half a trillion dollars”, a large portion of which “disappears into kickbacks and opaque channels”.
Unsurprisingly, Trump Jr.’s statements provoked a wave of reactions in the United States, with part of the public praising him for the “raw truth” about war profiteers, while others accuse him of downplaying the geopolitical consequences of a possible abandonment of Ukraine.
The discussion comes at a time when the administration of President Trump has adopted a more conciliatory stance toward the conflict, emphasizing negotiations and de escalation.
The issue of American aid remains deeply divisive: critics demand transparency and spending limits, while supporters consider the assistance essential for countering Russian aggression.
