Turbulent backstage - USA: Trump’s plan is non-negotiable... “Let’s end this s@@@ situation” - “Knife to the throat” of Zelensky, EU
“America is suffocating and is pressuring the EU and Kyiv to sign the 28-point peace plan - One of the Europeans who attended the meeting described the tone of the U.S.-EU-Ukraine meeting at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv as turbulent to the point of ‘nausea’; ‘the discussion quickly spiraled out of control.’”

Dramatic developments are expected in the coming period, as Washington is said to have put a knife to the throat of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the European Union, demanding that they accept without discussion the 28-point peace plan of U.S. President Donald Trump.

According to information from the American newspaper Financial Times, the American government has set a strict deadline and pressure for the full acceptance of the plan, as is, aiming for the conclusion of a peace agreement by 27 November, amid a stormy discussion with intense backstage drama.

Unbelievable pressure from Washington and an angry tone in discussions

The newspaper reports details from the meeting of U.S. and European representatives in Kyiv (21/11), where the Americans informed European officials that the plan is “non-negotiable.”
U.S. Secretary of the Army Daniel Driscoll warned that “Washington will show minimal flexibility.”
“We are not negotiating about the details,” he said, according to a European official.
One of the Europeans who attended the meeting described the tone of the meeting, which took place at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, as turbulent to the point of “nausea.”
“The discussion quickly spiraled out of control.
Daniel Davis (American lawyer in Ukraine) told the audience that ‘as much as we support Ukraine continuing the war, there are limits.
There are serious signs that Russia has a strong industrial base, and the only question is how much time until Ukraine is forced to reach an agreement,’” the newspaper reports.

Harsh language from Driscoll: “We need to end this shit situation”

Then Driscoll entered the meeting and almost from the doorway said angrily: “We need to end this shit situation.”
“The U.S. Armed Forces love Ukraine and support it, but the honest U.S. military assessment is that Ukraine is in a very difficult situation, and now is the best time for peace,” he said.
He added that security guarantees are part of the American plan and will be discussed with Europe and Ukraine in the coming days.

Pressure on Zelensky to accept and sign by Thursday 27/11

Davis and Driscoll insisted that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky must sign the agreement by Thursday.
“We have a narrow window for peace, President Trump wants peace now.
The more opinions involved, the harder it is to manage the process,” the general said.
The European ambassadors who attended the meeting described the U.S. messages as “shocking.”
Meanwhile, a former American official stated that the meeting was “positive, direct, and respectful.”
However, it appeared that there was intense exchange of views during the meeting.

The political weakness of the Ukrainian president and Russia’s “strategic victory”

European diplomats reported that the U.S. is exploiting Zelensky’s political weakness, due to the internal corruption scandal, to impose an agreement on Ukraine, describing the proposal as a “strategic victory for Russia.”
Davis stated that the loss of one million soldiers by Russia cannot be considered a victory.

The European reaction: Pressure on Russia, not on Ukraine, to reach an agreement

At the end of the meeting, the Europeans said that instead of signing the agreement, pressure should now be increased on Russia.
The Americans responded that Trump’s plan is “the best thing Ukraine can hope for.”
We remind that yesterday, in a direct address to the Ukrainian people, Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine must choose between preserving its dignity and the risk of losing a key ally, the United States.

The U.S. President, commenting on this statement, made it clear that Kyiv must accept the peace plan sent from Washington.

Pressure on Ukraine is escalating, as the country stands at a critical crossroads, being called upon to accept Trump’s peace plan or risk isolation from its most important ally, the United States.
The pressure from Washington appears relentless, with Ukraine at a crucial turning point, being asked to sign an agreement that has provoked serious reactions in Europe and beyond.
International pressure to sign the agreement with the U.S. may determine the future of the country.
